I-MART Purple Clay Tea Cup, Coffee Mug, Chinese Kung Fu Teacupup

The product is beautiful. It is substantial without being too heavy. As others have mentioned, the handle is designed in such a way that feels very comfortable when you hold it and drink from it. I like that I can wrap my fingers around it without my knuckles touching the cup when it’s full of hot tea. It washes up easily too.

Very sturdy built, great coating on the mug, and very nice design.

Bought this for my father who's a major avid tea drinker. It's a lot bigger than I imagined but it's ok. Good overall but it surface seems kind of rough. I have bought one for him before from a Chinese specialty store a few years ago. I don't remember the surface being rough before. That one cracked in a year. Hopefully this won't. This time I did research before using it. I suggest new buyers doing it. You have to season it and don't wash with any kind of soap.

I drink a lot of high quality oolong tea to help the inflammation in my hands and this mug does exactly what I need. With my small yixing pots I can get about 6 infusions into the mug and it stays nicely warm with the lid on.Sometime I even just put some leaves in the mug and infuse directly and it works quite well too. And you never need to clean it since the mug 'seasons' to your teas and will eventually give back flavor notes. I'd have separate mug for the lighter 'green' oolongs and the more aged ones though. I'd also keep it far away from any tea that has added botanicals like Jasmine or Bergamot as the concentration of those flavors might not be desirable.The only problem is that holding the handle of the cup can make my hand hurt but since almost anything does that I can't blame it on the mugIt's a perfect gift for anyone in your life addicted to fine oolongs, Highly recommended.

I partly chose this mug because the recipient has a problem with unsteady hands (not Parkinson's but similar). I thought he'd be able to hold the large handle and that not filling the extra large mug to the brim would make it easy for him to carry it without spilling. This worked!Furthermore, he loves the picture and writing on the mug and the dark rustic color.

I don’t usually go for this particular shape but I wanted a 16 oz purple clay mug for oolong tea. This one is perfect in size and this is actually the most perfect handle of any mug I’ve ever had. It’s almost revelatory. The clay seems to be high quality and I’m excited for it to become seasoned and add depth to my oolong over time. No idea what the Chinese says or if it even says anything at all but I love this mug.

I like the way the tea cup feels in the hand, It's not too heavy, and the shape is very pleasing to the eye. The picture on front is beautifully engraved, or printed not distorted in anyway. They did a very nice job, I love it.

I like this cup a lot, however it becomes quite hot, and seems thin and fragile. The handle though does work very well and stay cool. The cap fits easily.
