Sassy Crab Chime and Lobster Jitter, 2 Count

I'm a huge fan of Sassy toys and so is my 4 mo. old baby since they brilliantly use high contrast colors that babies under 6 mos can actually see well. I got these for that reason and because I loved the jitter idea since my little guy likes things you can tug on and that do something. I like these but they are bigger than I expected (I wanted them to hang from the carseat bar which I still do). Only the lobster (bottom photo) jitters. The red crab is a rattle that has a bell (my fave type). My only complaint is that the felt they use for the color loops (not polka-dot) is this rough scratchy felt that feels like a brillo pad. Why would they put that on a baby product? Probably cheaper I'm guessing. The size and scratchy loops are my only complaint. Otherwise I like them - and I'm grooving the jitter.

These 2 toys have been great to strap onto my gym activity mat and onto my fisher price newborn to toddler portable rocker. I even bring the red one to the doctor's office with me to distract the baby. I sometimes take a clothes pin and clip the toy onto the end of the umbrella part of the stroller and he stares at it as we stroll. I've been using it since my baby was 2 months old and is now 5 months and still enjoys it.

My baby loves these so much I have bought them for 3 other friends' baby showers. The black and white loops and the eyes mesmerized my daughter when she was 2 and 3 months old and now at 4 months, she grabs at them all the time to hear the red one's bells and feel the spotted one vibrate. These are the only toys I need when we go out to keep her from fussing.

Why can't we find more toys for young infants that rattle and are not so heavy or hard that you're afraid the baby will get hurt using them. The crab rattle has a lovely soft chime and the other one rattles softly. Both are easy for tiny hands to grab and hold onto, light enough that baby does not drop them. Bravo for Sassy!

Ok. The chime/rattle is a nice tone on both but very low no matter how hard it's shaken on the crab; LO can't make the lobster jitter as ends up pulling it off as there's only Velcro on one side of the attachment so bond can be s big weak.

Crab rattle sound soft and pleasant. The little lobster vibrates and the baby loves it. She loves also all the loops in these toys for easy grabbing and mouth shoving.

My son loves these, I like to put them on his wrist so they won't fall to the floor.

Very cool product. Really well made and appealing to both baby and parents. Well worth the money.
