I thought I was buying the perfect cozy spot for my cat. My cat, however, apparently had other plans. The warming pad is well made, soft, and fits nicely where I wanted to put it. I love that it self warms without needing electricity, so it is easy for him to get warm and cozy. Unfortunately, my feline supervisor inspected it, gave me a judgmental look, and went right back to sleeping in the cardboard box it came near. That's definitely not the pad's fault, it's just cat logic I guess. I'm leaving it out because I know one day my cat will suddenly decide it's the greatest invention ever and act like it was his idea all along. Until then, I'm impressed with the quality and would still recommend it to anyone whose cat is a little less opinionated than mine.

I wasn't sure if my cat, Rocky, would like and use this mat. Being a 'normal' cat in some respects, he likes moving his sleeping spot all over the apartment. Two weeks on the bed, then two weeks in the top of the cat tree, then a month behind the chair, then 5 days at the end of the sofa, interspersed with my lap. You get the idea. Moving their lair around in the wild helps to keep animals safe. Our pet cats are still ingrained with a lot of their wild instincts. He also had a big teal towel on the floor in the living room he liked to lay on and I would move the towel around to wherever his sleeping space was when it was on the floor. He has me trained well. I hoped he would be willing to switch from the towel to the mat. A towel lying around on the floor of the living room wasn't the best in fashion. He is 12 years-old and I thought he would like the self-warming aspects of the mat. When I got the mat I exchanged it for his towel on the floor next to the cat tree. He wasn't exactly happy and didn't lay on it at all. I left the mat on the floor exactly where he had been sleeping, next to the cat tree, for 2 days, while he slept on the floor next to the mat. That wasn't what I had hoped for. So, I covered the mat with his towel. He was happy and immediately moved onto the towel again. I left the towel on the mat for a few days in hopes the odors and everything that made the towel 'his' would impregnate the mat. Worked like a charm! I put the towel in his cat carrier so when he goes to the vet he will have that comfort with him. QqqAside from Rocky liking the mat, I do, too. He is fairly large, 13 lbs. The mat is a good size for him. It really isn't very thick but in my experience with cats, I have found being thick and heavy, maybe even too soft, isn't what cats prefer. How many times have you tried to get a cat to lie on a nice soft pillow but they won't? However, they will happily curl up and sleep on a magazine, a piece of cardboard, or a towel that is right beside the nice soft bed you made for them. So, the mat not being extra thick and soft is actually attractive to most cats. There are a lot of cats, like mine, that aren't receptive to new, strange smelling beds or sleeping mats. If your cat doesn't have a favorite towel 😁 try using an old piece of clothing that belongs to his favorite human to put over the mat for a few days or as long as is needed to absorb all the odors and whatever it is that attracts them. That should help. It is always good to put something like that in your cat's carrier, too. It's very comforting for your cat, especially for a cat that was a stray and could have anxiety issues from that. Our fur kids cannot always tell us how they feel so sometimes we need to be proactive in what we do to care for them.

These are nice and soft, and they look cute. My only criticism is that they are lightweight and often end up wadded up in the corner of the sofa. They are perfect for the inside of a carrier though. Especially when you have to take them to the vet. It was comforting for her.

Fast ship, no issues. Very soft and the perfect size. I sprayed a little catnip on it to get her attention and that was all I needed to do. She took to it.\nAnd within a few minutes was making it her own. She also loves the crinkly noise as she was making biscuits on it. She slipped on it overnight , so it's a keeper. I might get another one to place in another area for her.So I recommend it. The price was very reasonable; the size and quality are perfect. Highly recommend.

Great outdoor heat pads for cats or any smaller sized animal. I have 4 of these from the K&H brand along with 2 of their plug in electronic heat mats and their quality stuff. Everything i own of theirs is anywhere from 1yr to 15yrs old and still works and washes up good. Eventually after so many cleanings it messes with the interior mylar that reflects the heat and doesn't work quite as well as when new but thats usually years down the road. Very affordable and well made. I've bought many different pet beds off Amazon over the past 20yrs and K&H is one of the better ones IMO & IME. I know my 5 cats love these things and in the winter there good to have when the cats go out.

All the outside & inside kitties LOVE these, young or old. It helped get the senior outsiders, who started out as 'strays', but are now mine, cozy & warm during those artic blasts we had this year, they have houses to get into outside, but i always add these thru the winter months, they arent hot like plug in warmers, but i think the softness & their body heat makes it so cozy they dont want to get come out. also, as note, it got cold this winter, mom was always feeling chilly even with her heat on, i got her one of these to put at the back of her chair to keep her back warm, she liked it so much i got her 2 more, one to sit on, one for her lap under her throw, she loves them & stays comfortable using them, she even takes one to bed-so really its not just for our pets only. I use this primarily in the winter months and my fur babies love it! Yes it really does seem to help them to get that extra warmth that all cats love. It’s not the most durable or well made but for the price who can complain, especially when it makes our furry four legged friends happy! 😊

What can I say.. the cat hasn't stopped sleeping on it since I got it out of the packaging. She loves it! Being as fluffy as she is, big beds don't appeal to her. She gets too warm & just lays on the carpet instead. This pet pad is well made & the perfect size. Its warm & offers that extra bit of comfort. I haven't needed to wash it yet but it should be easy enough, following the instructions. Great buy!
