My dad is very much into his golf - and I to a much lesser degree, as I am actually very poor. Anyway, we had to wait for a suitable day for us to try this out and we got the first chance the other day. So here goes. Firstly, we had both seen these gadgets being used on the course before by people who seemed to have everything. Mostly they were in the form of a watch type device, whereas this one clips to your belt, which we both felt was actually better. It is a very small device but it packs a lot of punch. It has over 40.000 golf courses pre loaded onto it and it verbally informs you distances, hazards and just about everything you need to be aware of on the course you are playing, so you are fully aware of layout and directions. In our opinion this clever little device really gives you the 'edge' whether you are amateur, but keen (like dad) or rubbish, but trying to improve (like me). For very keen or professional golfers, a gadget such as this is no doubt an essential piece of kit they would not be without. After using it we both would fully recommend it and we feel it would make an absolutely perfect gift for a keen golfer.

Golf buddy works on pretty much any golf course you'll play on. In all honesty, if you can find a golf course it doesn't work on, it's probably the one you set up in your own back garden. It's really easy to use and is self-explanatory - just turn it on and the rest is done for you. There's an app to go with it which makes sure the Buddy is fully updated. The yardages are very accurate. I calibrated with a map app and they are spot on. The device tells you about hazards too. You can mute the voice - to be honest I don't know why it has a voice - for blind golfers? This would make a great gift for a golf addict, for somebody with a mid to high handicap. The buddy weighs about the same as a rubber duck and is small enough to fit inside your pocket. Having said that, it's well built and will easily be able to survive the long drop to the rough if it accidentally slips from your fingers. An excellent piece of kit.

This is a neat little device that offers distance-to-hole and hazard information. It uses GPS to know where it is, and this makes it almost entirely automatic. It is thus able to identify which course and hole you are playing, and serves up information on its screen and with audio prompts in male or female voices. The audio can be switched off, and you’ll probably want to do that because it is likely to annoy your golf partners.The device is very solidly made, with shiny metal case and belt clip at the back. It is water resistant, but it would be handy if it were waterproof. That said, it is small enough to tuck inside a pocket and to keep dry under an umbrella or handy tree. Despite being water resistant, the manual says to “keep the device away from water or high humidity”. Make of that what you will, but we take it to mean it is not water resistant, and should be kept completely dry.The app for this device is essential. It enables software and course updates for the device. On charging, there is no charger supplied, but you do get a cable. Charge it using any 5V USB unit, though it does not support fast charging.Overall, we like this device. It proves its worth quickly on a round of golf, especially if you are not very familiar with the course or hole you are playing.

Whether you're a beginner or pro, I think this device is a handy assistant to boost your productivity and tacitness, it can help shape your strategy and style a lot for the better.This device attaches to your belt or in hand unlike the common watch type devices. It's lightweight and has a small form factor making it easy to carry anywhere inconspicuously.The device is preloaded with a ton of information, including 40,000 courses and it can give you information about hazards, distances, layout and direction by sound, the sound can also be disabled and you can view the information on screen. The yardages are very precise and accurate on the 2 courses I've used it at, as it has thousands of course information, it's unlikely that it won't have your course.For more insights you can connect it to your phone and use it with the app.The device itself is strong and feels very durable, it's small and lightweight so falls are unlikely to cause any damage.

This GOLFBUDDY gps is extremely easy to use. I also downloaded the app which links to the device easily too.I found I was given accurate yardages and found the device easy to use. I did watch the manufacturer’s demonstration video first which quickly explains how to use.I’m not sure about the need for the voice prompts as I think this could be distracting for playing partners - but it is easily muted.I was able to track how far I was hitting shots too when using the phone casting.The device is light and can be attached to a waist band or even a cap brim.I’m going to have this GOLFBUDDY with me on the course from now on. Hopefully it will help my golf improve ⛳️.

Whether it’s needed for training or you’re a pro at golf ⛳️ I can honestly say this is a great device to bring along to the golf course. This Golfbuddy V10 will tell you verbally what the distance is. It actually gave me the front edge, middle and back edge. It gives me the hazards as well. I’m impressed that it has all the golf courses automatically loaded in it so all you have to do really is worry about the weather. It’s awesome that it can give you the layout of the course which gives you the direction and drive that’s needed to get that hole-in-one.

An essential piece of equipment for the golfer pro, even for the beginner.....it's ideal. Comes preinstalled with quite numerous of golf courses, n automatically updates which is fabulous. Who would of guessed such a dinky tool like this would be such an important n handy device. For the price it's amazing value. I love it
