Perfect snack! Great quality and salt is just right
These are perfect. Lightly salted, which is how I prefer; you taste the salt first, then the crunch, then the nutty roasted edamame, I got the 5 lb, going to store some in mason jars. Excellent price for the 5lb, but it is a LOT of edamame. ——side note: in large quantities these can cause gas, as they’re soy beans. If you’re new to snacking on edamame, start in moderation just in case.

Very tasty & fresh
We had never tried roasted soy beans before but had heard of their nutritional value so gave them a try! A pleasant surprise...they were crunchy, light, mildly salty & very fresh. They are definitely an acquired taste, nothing like nuts or chips in my opinion & I may not ever buy them again but I'm glad we tried them this time...they didn't last long. Good value I would say too.

Alternative to peanuts. Could use less salt.
UPDATE: Around four years ago, my cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides were high. Ever since then, I have been eating healthier and healthier, and the levels have dropped a little each year. Every year I eat healthier than the year before. But suddenly this past year, my cholesterol and LDL levels increased and my HDL didn't increase (it actually lowered). This is strange considering this past year I ate way healthier than previous years. Only two things I have been eating could have had any negative impact. That is these dried edamame and flaxseed The flaxseed didn't improve my HDL so I think that I will stop taking it. I mean in all the previous years, my HDL stayed around the same or even increased, and then a year after I started taking flaxseed, my HDL lowered? And even though dried edamame shows no saturated fat, it probably has like 0.4 grams per serving and I guess eating all those servings increased my cholesterol and LDL. So even though I love crunchy foods and like the idea of extra protein, I probably won't be ordering and eating these anymore. This is my first time trying dried edamame. I ordered the 5 lb bag because I wanted it to get here before the end of the month and the 3 lb bag would have taken longer to get here. Also the 5 lb bag was a better deal than the 1 or 2 lb bags. The 5 lb bag is huge and will last me a long time, so that's good. The bag that it comes in seems nice. It seems like a durable bag with a durable ziplock enclosure and the printed design is nice. When I opened the bag, I did not see any of the horrors that some reviewers described. I did not see overcooked or burned edamame. I did not see anything that looked like green bugs. I did not see a bag of flakes. They just looked like whole, green, healthy, dried beans. When I tasted them, they honestly tasted just like salted peanuts to me, but with a better texture. They are good. I ordered them because I used to snack on peanuts and almonds all day but despite having healthy fats peanuts and almonds also have a lot of saturated fat. From the nutrition label on these edamame soybeans, they have no saturated fat, and I hope that is true. I saw some people say that these edamame taste bad and are like cardboard or overly cooked. I totally disagree. If you want to eat something gross, try dried chickpeas. Dried chickpeas actually do taste like cardboard.I will probably be ordering and snacking on these edamame for the rest of my life since they are a high protein snack with no saturated fat I just hope the nutrition label is accurate and that there is no saturated fat in them. Also, it says that one serving only had 3% DV of salt and that is surprising because they taste a little salty and I could honestly suggest they use even less salt in them.If I change my mind about this product later or if the ziplock enclosure breaks on me, I will update my review later on to reflect that. But for now, I am a satisfied customer.

Mediocre. Buy the smallest size to make sure you like it. Got ill after eating.
First, I made a huge error buying what I thought was 5 individually packed 1 pound bags and it turns out it was actually a single 5 pound bag and although its resealable its way too much product. You'd have to eat it daily to have a hope the product would stay fresh. Don't buy this size unless you have a huge family, are having a party or you have a big appetite. Having said all this even if I had actually gotten 1 pound bags instead I still wouldn't enjoy the product. I have had edamame before that I liked but it had more seasoning. These are so bland they are flavorless. I know some people don't like overly salted products and I don't either but I sure would have liked at least light salt to make the product more palatable. I wonder if this product could be used in soup, although not a cooking bean I suspect? If they could be used that way it might salvage the purchase. Well, better get used to it as I made the same error with the peas and corn snacks by inadvertently ordering 5 pounds. I can't imagine they will taste any better or have more salt. The ad says superbly crisp, crunchy and tasty and it is none of that. They are soft and flavorless and also made me very, very nauseated for several hours. Whether it was due to the product I don't know but its the only thing I ate before getting sick,

Yummy healthy treat
I ordered because this is supposed to lower blood sugar from a Google article. They taste good, crunchy. Came in a sturdy resealable bag. And had a better price when compared to others. Shipping was fast also. Great deal

OK, nothing great.
My wife and I both wanted a snack that is relatively healthy and high in protein, but still satisfying. We tried these and those made by Seapoint Farms. We had previously tasted the Seapoint Farms and liked them, but these are less expensive, so we bought both and did a taste comparison. The Seapoint Farms are better. They are both crunchy and have a slight salt taste, but these tasted a little like slightly burned popcorn. It just may have been that particular batch, but we'll be buying the Seapoint Farms from now on.

Tasty, exactly what I was looking for
I wanted a salty crunchy snack with good nutrients. Was reluctant to go online but hard to find locally even in a large city. This is perfect. High protein, high fiber. Small amounts are filling. Also, 7 year old loves them! Will order again.
