Protektor Model 3F Owl Ear Front Bag, Large

Perfect fit for a tripod mount.
I found a vintage camera tripod at a thrift shop and thought it would make a nice air rifle rest.So after some Amazon swiping I found this item. All I needed was a piece of aluminum flat bar stock. I cut the stock to length and drilled and tapped the stock for 1/4"-20 thread and installed it on the tripod. Then it was just a matter of snapping the rest onto to the aluminum plate. It's firm enough your rifle doesn't sink into the rest and the ends are high enough to keep the rifle on the rest when reloading. It seems durable enough so far, I'm happy with this rest for the price.

Tough & Durable
I attached this to my Caldwell Rock Jr front rest with nylon ties and it makes a very solid front rest for use at an indoor gun range where one does not have a lot of room for a larger front rest. The 3F Owl Ear bag fits much better on the flat surface of the Caldwell Rock Jr then the velcro one provided with the rest. Now I have a good solid front rest where space is limited at an indoor range. Protektor products are high quality and very durable, I doubt I will ever wear this one or any of the other Protektor front and rear bags I use. The only time consuming issue is filling the bag initially with whatever material one chooses for weight, but that is a one time task.

Great value bag, does what it should.
Mounted this on top of a Caldwell Rock BR front rest. The bag is everything that it's supposed to be. I slicked it with water, and it has taken on a nice hard and smooth surface for my forends. For a one-gun front rest, like a competition set up, I'd want a bit firmer packing, but this sand-filled bag does very well, and stays soft enough so far to change between rifles and re-form to different forends easily, which is a plus for a multi-gun front rest. The mounting set up to secure this to the Rock BR isn't perfect, but it's proving to be very stable and secure so far just using the provided eyelets and a thong tied around the rest head.

Fits old Lead Sled DFT Gen1
This is a very nice bag, well made. I got this for my old Lead Sled DFT, and it fits prefect. The bag sits about one inch lower than the factory bag,but works very well. The Magpul 700 Hunter stock fits great, also an AR-10 forearm. Remember this will fit the old DFT models, with the adjustable side plates. I don't think it will fit the new DFT 2.

Fits "The Rock" shooting rest
I've bought several bags from Protektor and they've been top notch quality. I bought this to replace the crappy front bag that came with The Rock by Caldwell shooting rest. It fits well and looks great. I also grabbed the rear bag from Protektor. Using both front and rear Protektor bags takes The Rock shooting rest from good to great.

Great bag, doesn't Fit Rock BR
The bag is really good quality but I have the Rock BR rest and the tabs on this bag don't line up with the screw holes of the rock br. I read that people were mounting this bag to the rock br and I was just curious how they are doing that.
