ANSI 600 (14 micron) or FEPA-P600 (26 micron)?** A: I would have to look on belt ,I honestly never checked after receiving, but it definitely cuts like 600 grit ,14 micron is fairly fine .wish I could have helped more **Q: What sfpm should these belts run at?** A: I'd also like to know if there was a sfpm that it was engineered to run at specifically. And yes I understand the way materials abrade others and the abrading materials "grits" friability vs material being abraded is the main science going on not necessarily coefficient of friction so slower = colder. The feed rate of the material and pressure is going to matter much more than SFPM but it's still a question! **Q: Can these be used to sharpen knives?** A: I use these for the grinding of the knives not sharpening.
