This adorable Egg Poaching caddy is the perfect replacement for the plastic egg poaching tray that came with my Oroton Egg Cooker. I chose this particular cooker because it is mostly stainless steel, except for the egg poaching tray which is plastic. I found this perfect non-stick egg poaching caddy with two cups that fits perfectly inside my egg cooker, even when storing it between uses. It measures about 6.5 inches across. The individual cups are non stick, but it doesn't hurt to hit them with a bit of butter or cooking spray. Even without using any butter or spray, the eggs popped right out of the cups. The little black plastic handles are easy to grasp for removing the cups from the caddy. For semi hard cooked poached eggs, I set the timer between 14 and 15 minutes. Great little gadget, and a must-have for the egg enthusiast.

Love this! We have been having poached eggs on an English Muffin with a slice of avocado almost every day since this arrived. So easy and the eggs are perfect every time. Just butter the cups and the eggs slide right out. Thinking about trying some flavored olive oil, maybe Jalapeño or Basil to oil the cups for a little zing! Being able to use a pan I already had was more economical and space saving in an already well equipped kitchen. For the record I am using a 10” skillet that is about 2 1/2 “ deep with a domed lid.

It's everything you want in an egg poacher. Simple, easy to use and does the job with no mess. Just follow the instructions and you'll get nice poached eggs.

If you follow the directions this makes perfect poached eggs. I use Pam and the eggs never stick and cleanup is a breeze. I do hand wash the cups so as not to damage the Teflon coating but only because they’re small and easy to clean. I cook the eggs in a Cuisinart 3.5 Quart Sauté Pan which is deep enough to fit the poacher with about 1.5” of water.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love poached eggs. My old egg poacher needed to be tossed. I love the deep cups for x large/jumbo eggs. Easy to clean too.

I absolutely love this egg poacher. It's very easy to use, and in 6 minutes I have a perfectly poached egg with no mess in the pan. I lightly oil the inside with olive oil, then wipe it out before dropping the egg inside. The finished egg slides out neatly onto my toast. A great price for a quality product!

I've been wanting an egg poacher for a while and I've been waiting for some good sales. I thought I needed the type that comes with its own cooking pot. But I got tired of waiting and I decided to get this insert to poach 4 eggs at one time. It's PFOA free and nonstick. I just use my own pot and I saved $20-$30 that way. I'm very pleased with this product. Even though it is nonstick, I smear a little butter in the cups before cooking the eggs, because I read reviews from other customers who do this. It's easy to clean up and store. It also makes perfect poached eggs.
