Let me start w this, I usually don’t leave reviews, nor was I coerced in any way with a discount or anything to purchase this or leave this positive of a review, I’m just giving credit where it is due. I was weary on this purchase bc it looked complicated to install and it use and I also didn’t want to cause any issues Or any headaches at the dealership seeing as this unit controls and upgrades some of its factory functions. Not going to be the case here at all. I am not strong in the wiring dept either so I had a local car audio shop install it for 180.00. My reason for purchase was strictly it looks awesome and I wanted CarPlay. Come to find out it even does it without an six cord attached. This thing is literally an in dash computer. It will do pretty much anything an iPad will do. Search google, stream movies, music , phone calls, Nav , etc etc . It also retains the rear factory entertainment (with a 10 dollar adapter harness also purchased on Amazon) the only thing it doesn’t is SiriusXM, but you can stream it through the app if you have it and also it won’t play CD or DVD, but only dinosaurs still use that tech. That goes out w the factory unit anyways. This thing has a lot of options , some I’m still playing w but like anything a day or so if poking and playing w it you will have it down in no time, just like learning a new phone basically. This is a must have fir anyone w an 07-14 model Cadillac Escalade in my opinion. I waited a month w this thing in my cart pondering the purchase bc I was nervous it may be crap, but it’s not , Don’t hesitate you will not be disappointed.

After 2 weeks the radio quit working. Had to send it back steering wheel controls don’t work

This thing is great and is the unit Escalades should have come with from the factory. It fits the space well. If you have basic knowledge of installing stereos then you could install this yourself but provided instructions were a bit light. Also, an owners manual would have been nice. There are tons of settings and options and be prepared to spend a good 1-2 hours playing with settings, equalizer, etc to figure this thing out.

Get a pro to install. I got the current unit disconnected and out. But the Android device only connects to one plug out of 3 the antenna and the rear camera hookup. The unit powered up but nothing more. The rear camera didn't work and I got no sound from the radio. So hopefully a pro can splice the necessary wires together and get the unit to operate the system. I do have the Bose system. Not sure if it's compatible.

Expensive. But it is nice to have a tablet In the dash of a 2007 Escalade. Haven't got the video out feature to work yet. The temp setting you see on the top of the screen doesn't work so I found it in settings and disabled it. You can send email to tech support for help and wait for replies and generic answers and sometimes go in circles. It was plug and play for my vehicle without all the expensive adapters you see in other videos you watched. SOME steering wheel controls work for. The most frustrating thing for me is the unit freezes up and you're stuck on whatever screen you were on and no way to reboot without turning off vehicle. Major pain when you're on the highway or turnpike. So wire in a separate on/off button hidden somewhere for this scenario. Sometimes it freezes and goes to black screen so you lost Waze or Google Maps. I tether to my hotspot on phone with Visible Wireless and been working for me. Another complaint is about the screen customization. Not many. You can change your default apps when you click the map icon or radio icon etc. My Android Auto did work but I don't use it. The Android Auto is made so you do not use phone while driving. The Easy Connection does mirror my Galaxy S10 Fe 5g but with the default screen the way it is you're not going to see it any bigger than your smart phone display. I have no complaints with the sound (factory Bose in Cadillac) You do have Eq settings and time delay options to play with. The installation instructions if you want to call it that are ridiculous. But if you ever installed a stereo you will figure it out I do not believe this unit has dual zone feature so that's a huge bummer. And if the video out feature doesn't work it will get exchanged. A purchase is only as good as the tech support when needed. That's why my rating is what it is. Can't drag and change the screens as seen on other units. The XM app is either full screen or minimized. There's limitations like that. I don't like the big band across the top and bottom and not allowing the user to adjust it more. we done need the huge buttons for the phone. Definitely nice things to like about the unit though. Will update more as time goes on.

Overall looks good in my truck I needed to adjust the screw mounts so I could center it and also so it would allow the dash to clap it was easy anyone can do only issue I have is that the car play take a few minutes to connect so I use the regular Bluetooth sometimes

Bought this seeing some of the good reviews and videos. Last time I do that. Backup camera no signal and no navigation loaded. Only wanted me to use online applications . Sending back for refund will be upgrading my wife’s Escalade with other items instead.

Once installed I needed to know more about setting it. Stuff I didn’t know about.So I sent it back.
