I am really amazed by the quality for the price on this item. I have looked everywhere live for cowhide rugs as I was aware of the risk for defects and how colors naturally vary. I took a risk on this rug because the price was about $150 cheaper than anything I've seen locally (been shopping at all range of mid and high end stores) AND buyer reviews were so good. The order showed up within two day and I was a bit thrown by the small size of the shipping box.....BUT when I opened it, WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! This rug is just PERFECT. Colors were aligned to what I wanted and expected and there was only one slight blemish. Unlike others I've seen, it also had no smell. It also has flattened out nicely and looks great. Rodeo seems to have their process figured out!!!

Awesome cowhide! We were looking for a cowhide to put on a large wall where we had planned to put a pair of old chaps that had belonged to my father in law, along with an old, custom made bridle, some custom spurs, etc for a complete western look. We looked at other cowhides and didn't really think they were worth the price the vendors were asking. We saw these on Amazon and decided to take our chance. Wow! We got a medium size dark brindle one and it is beautiful! I know they are sold as rugs, but I couldn't even imagine putting them on the floor. Although I've seen pictures and that also is a beautiful way to display them. I would definitely recommend these cowhides no matter what you intend to use them for. I will update this review when we hang the cowhide on the wall. It may take awhile, since the wall is directly over the stairs that go down to the playroom! We are not real sure how we are going to get up there to hang it yet!

I ordered this rug after reading the reviews. It promptly arrived three days later and was even better than expected! It is just stunning- gorgeous color, and so soft. The brindle pattern is so striking, not ‘country cow’ looking, at all. The underside is beautifully sueded, as well. I’ve seen similar rugs cost more, and the underside looked raw with large lot numbers scrawled across them.Just a great fur rug. Highly recommended.*the areas that show white in my pic are actually a light pretty tan, except at those two skinny tips on the one end are white, I may trim them off.

Really great for the price. Love the size and feel. Lays great and really like how they did the back. Does vary from picture some- less dark brindle with some white on ends, but still beautiful. Even has the "cowlicks".

I want to start by saying I don’t leave many reviews. But like many of you reading this I read reviews and use bad ones to talk me out of things! LET ME TELL YOU! I live in TX. There’s a cowhide in every home. I have wanted one so badly but a $345 price tag for this size I couldn’t make work for me. I follow Rodeo cowhides on fb and when I found them selling on amazon.. DONE. This came today and ITS GORGEOUS. I read you can message seller photos for a color preference etc, however I did not. I was sent the perfect hide! $129????? You seriously expect a wonky shaped thing, shedding piece of fabric at the price. What you get is $345 worth of beautiful cowhide! BUY IT NOW YALL!!!

I loved this rug so much I had to have another one. It's huge and feels so nice on my feet and is super easy to sweep and clean. The wrinkles came out within a week and it sits pretty flat. It has not shed a hair.

This cowhide rug has vastly exceeded my expectations for the price. I happened to recieve exactly the kind of color and pattern I wanted and the size is every bit as large as advertised. It's really perfect for my application and my kids are in love with it. It really ties the room together! The rug was well packaged and arrived quickly. I really just can't get over how nice it is for the price. Highly recommend it.

Nice coloring , as expected . Good quality . The only thing - two months passed and it is still has creases from being folded for shopping . I need to find out how to get rid of the creases

Like others have said I was a little worried when it was in such a small package but once rolled out my wife loved it.
