The performance was very good, very dependable and the ink cartridges were priced ...
The first one I had (same model) lasted for about eight years. The performance was very good, very dependable and the ink cartridges were priced very reasonable. I think they have discontinued this model but I was able to find one slightly used so I bought it. It is exactly what I expected.I would recommend it.

Buy another brand
This print head and ink cartridge installation process is flawed. Lots of error messages asking for physical reinstallation of print head and cartridges even though they are snapped into place correctly. Went through installtion process about 8 times before OK. Also get error message when printing asking for unit to be powered off and back on. Almost returned this unit. When it is working, performance is OK.

Slow, Very Slow.
I saw this printer on the TV show, "The Apprentice." The idea of inexpensive ink plus the price being considerably less than the other all-in-one I had planned to buy convinced me to buy it. I should have stuck with the other printer! This has got to be the slowest printer I have ever owned and that includes the dot matrix printers from the late 1980's!Perhaps if you were printing more than one copy the multiple copies would print faster. Or maybe when I get my higher-end computer. It seems to have to think for an incredibly long time before it begins to print. It sometimes locks up after it has been 'thinking' for about 4 minutes and I have to start the print job all over. The color printouts once it does get around to printing are not the greatest quality. Must be "draft." I hesitate to think how long it would take if I tried the duplexing. I haven't tried to print a photo as yet.I gave it two stars only because it does have many functions and it is very "pretty."I get the standard message about the printhead being missing and it also thinks it has a paper jam with great regularity. I have to open and shut the top to convince it there is no paper jam.As far as collating goes, does it collate? Everything I have printed has to be re-shuffled, just like my 5-year old Canon. If you are planning on buying this printer, I would definately re-think it unless you have a lot a time to burn.

Great printer - lousy software
I've owned at least 10 ink jet printers over the years. In terms of quality printing, I've never seen better than what this printer produces. It is large, even for an AIO, and it is heavy, but the print quality is fantastic. Picture color is vibrant and sharp when printed on photo-quality paper. Business documents print crisply. My biggest complaint about this printer is the lousy software. Definitely make sure that the printer is turned on and warmed up before starting to print, or you will get a "printer not responding" message. Generally, it just takes a few minutes for the printer to get caught up to the message and it prints fine, but the warnings are rather annoying. The print center software also has a very poor user interface that is not intuitive if you are trying to scan multiple pages into one document file.If Kodak would spend some time updating their software, they would have a real gem of a product, worthy of five stars. However, without solid software, the product is only mediocre.

My Lexmark's still in the basement....
This is my 3rd all-in-one printer. I bought it because it has the multi-sheet feeder and the flatbed scanner.Like others, I also had a problem with the print-head after installation. Kodak obviously knows that this is an issue and seems to be working to resolve it. They shipped a new print-head, which works perfectly. They also sent new ink cartridges, asked me to return the "used" cartridges, and in exchange they will send me another set for my efforts. I did get a tech support person immediately (late afternoon call) who was knowledgeable and helpful. Now that the printer is up and running, I'm quite happy with it. I did update the software, and firmware, which I would recommend that others do.Regarding the fax issues (of which others complain), I rarely send/receive faxes, so I'll have to see what happens when that time comes. Actually, a friend of mine has this printer so I think we'll try sending each other faxes to test it out.I did scan an 8 X 10 photo, and then printed a 4 X 6 on the Kodak photo-paper. The print quality is very nice and quite true to the original. Assuming that I don't experience ink "drain", the cost of the cartridges will offset the printer cost.In the meantime, the Lexmark (two of them), a Dell, and a Canon are all sitting in the basement.

This is my favorite printer would not trade it for the world
Kodak Printer. This is my favorite printer would not trade it for the world. The price you could not match anywhere. I am very happy and I am also very happy with the seller that I purchased this from. Highly recommended.
