Awesome bike but THAT SEAT?!?!
I've ridden bmx my whole life and when my 6 year old started getting too big for his 16" bike I wanted an 18" bmx bike that didn't look all dorky like something from the big box stores. The MirraCo / Dynacraft Verso bike fit the bill and budget. Also a nice way to honor the late, great Dave Mirra. Sorta, since MirraCo had been gone for a few years now only to have the name sold to an overseas manufacturer. ANYWAYS...The box arrived in another box (odd) and the bike was VERY well packed. Assembly was a sinch. Just make sure you double check EVERYTHING before you send your kids off on ANY new bike! The frame has better than average welds for the price point, the stem is adequate for my 65lb "little" guy, I was pleasantly surprised to see a real cassette hub! It's unsealled but that's ok. It has a small chainguard that fits nicely over the super compact gearing without looking HUGE. The tires seem nice when I carved around on the paved driveway. Pedals are molded plastic which is a standard in BMX these days. Nice MirraCo logo grips and appropriately sized 2 piece handlebars work in harmony with the grippy tires to produce handling that feels just like the bigger 20" bmx bikes.Downfall though is the non adjustable seat angle of the seat/seat post combo. The nose is too high and nobody likes a nose up where it doesn't belong. I ordered a new seat and seat post the day I put the bike together. This I recommend you do also! Make sure you buy a 25.4mm or 1.0" diameter sestpost.Overall I love the bike and my son does too! It loses a star for the seat however but I would definitely recommend this bike if you have a kid who looks a little crampped on his /her 16" bike.

great bike.
Perfect 1st starter bmx. Seat isn't great , but I installed my son's old transformer seat to this one. Very light bike. Brakes are a bit stiff but can easily put an after market. Awesome color, good tires. This was pretty simple to put together.

Cheaply built
Very upset with this bike. Received the package and started to put it together, the trouble started from the get go! The sprocket was loose as well as every spoke on the wheels! Once we fixed everything it was fine for 3 1/2 weeks! Now the being's have fallen out! Save your money, don't buy this poorly made bike!!!

First off the seat is horrible if you are buying this bike for a 5 year old, which the bike says 5-8. Also the seat height, pedal height, and bike height are all out of whack. My 5 year old son pedals and his knees hit his chest because the seat has to be so low because it sits vertical with no adjustment. Maybe if you were using this bike for bmx and ALWAYS standing up pedaling it would be a great bike, but my other son who is 10 has a BMX bike that is required to have 20 inch tires not the 18 inch that this bike has. I had my 10 year old ride it and he also complained about the seat and the fact the brake is really hard to pull with his hand. My 5 year old is just screwed when it comes to pulling the brake. I'm going to try and adjust that so it is easier for him, but we will see. I am also going to have to order a new seat with seat post and some new bike pedal bars that are shorter than 7 1/2". If your buying this bike for a BMX rider or trickster, this is a great bike. But for everyday use, it sucks really bad. The only thing great about this bike is the colors.
