Brilliant headphones but get Dolby Atmos!
Decided to finally upgrade (if you call it an upgrade) from my aging Astro A40's I've been using over 6 years. I wanted something new, and more importantly something wireless. Getting tangled up on my chair with the headphone wire, having a mixamp on my desk and optical cable/usb cable it was messy. The microphone tells you when it is on/off for reassurance that you aren't accidentally saying something for others to hear! These are solid headphones, they look the part. They're very comfortable and have adequate padding on both the headband and surrounding you ears. I find these a much tighter fit than my Astro A40's to the point it blocks 90% of background noise out on 35% volume. I find 35% volume is more than enough for me, any louder and I'll be deaf by the time I'm 50. I can often hear my heart beating when the sound goes silent that's how good a fit these are. I'd say they sound quality is slightly inferior compared with my old Astro A40's, but it's a "budget" gaming headset. I wasn't convinced on the sound quality at first until I discovered and downloaded Dolby Atmos for 7.1 surround sound (spatial audio). This transformed the sound quality and headset making me start to enjoy it. I highly recommend downloading Dolby Atmos off the Microsoft store and turning on the Dolby Atmos via the spatial audio on Windows - it will transform the sound quality. Battery life on a full charge, I can't seem to get a full charge yet I usually unplug it around 92-96% battery, that will last me about 6 hours of continuous use before I need to recharge it. This is on 35% volume. The advert claims up to 16 hours of battery life, I think this is highly optimistic by Corsair you'd be lucky to get half that on low volume. The range is good I can walk downstairs and into the hallway before the sound cuts off. As soon as I'm back in range it will auto reconnect. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Because the battery life isn't as good as stated, and the sound quality is slightly inferior to the Astro A40 I'll give them 8.5/10.

Light, well made, good sound and features - worth the money.
I bought a SteelSeries headset for Zoom and Teams on the advice of my Gamer son. I liked it and the wireless system works well - even though it uses USB-C and I had to buy an adapter. What’s that got to do with the Corsair? Well, when lockdown 3 started and schools went online, my 12 year old daughter needed a headset, so I gave her that SS set. This meant that I was back on a search for another set - and I thought ‘do I buy another SS set or buy what my son uses - a Corsair Gaming set?’ I researched, read up and looked around and came to the same conclusion that my son had - that these are very good value for money. For music I only use Bose as they suit my music choices, fit very well and sound superb. Yes they’re expensive but they are, for me, the best. When reading about these Corsairs, I saw posts that the fit isn’t great and the sound is not always what is expected. Now my online headphone requirements are modest; I’m no gamer but I am a songwriter and collaborate with my music partner regularly. These fit me nicely, the sound is great and I love the Mic which when you flip it up, turns the mic off. The American voice that states ‘Mic on / Mic off’ is annoying and perhaps you can turn it off - the software ‘iCue’ is easy to use and can control a host of other Corsair gadgets. My main gripe is the size of the USB Dongle - it’s the same size as an old thumb drive and could be damaged fairly easily. Unlike the SS version which is a lot smaller (but I accept that brings other issues). For the price I paid; this set is comfortable, very configurable (the lights on the sides of the headphone cup can be altered to your own taste like a lot of Corsair products), the mic flips up out of the way (and is turned off when in that position) and the overall sound of the set is very pleasing. You can adjust the sound to a variety of settings and although I’ve not played with that much, it does make a noticeable difference if you like that sort of thing and could enhance games. I’m very pleased with them and would recommend them.

Good Headset for £79.99, Not Worth £109.99
I’ve been using the CORSAIR VOID RGB ELITE Wireless Gaming Headset for about a year now, and it’s been a decent experience, but I wouldn’t recommend paying the full price of £109.99. For £79.99, it’s much more reasonable. I carry it in my backpack every day, and despite that, it’s still in great condition with no issues on the build. After a year of use, though, the battery life has dropped significantly. It now only lasts around 5-7 hours, depending on how intensely I’m using it. If you want to get a bit more out of the battery, I suggest turning off the RGB lights. The price difference between the white version and the others is still a mystery to me—why is the white one more expensive? One downside is that it only comes with one pop filter for the mic, and after a few washes, mine broke. It’d be great if they included a few extras. The retractable mic with the mute function is a nice feature, and the sound quality is decent. For a better experience, you can use the iCUE software and disable Windows Sonic. In conclusion, at £79.99, it’s a solid headset, but at £109.99, I’d say it’s not quite worth it. Keep an eye out for discounts.

Good quality headphones for a fair price
My old headphones suddenly died and as I game a lot - I had to buy new ones sooner rather than later. My issue is that majority of the headphones usually hurt my ears after wearing them for 1h + (not a glass wearer, just weird ear issues), so it was difficult for me to find ones that wouldn't do that. I went to my boyfriend and he let me tried his Corsair headphones for a few hours. I quickly knew - these are what I'm looking for. Found them here, cheaper than expected, and bought them. Got delivered very quickly. The build quality is good, they do not look like they going to fall apart after 2 months of use. The sound quality is very good, but I can't say if you can listen to classic music or hard rock in them with a A++ quality, as that's not what I use them for. They are quite heavy, but well balanced and comfy to wear. I like that the mic is attached, but if you tip it up it turns off, no need to press any buttons. I love the customisation. You can make your own light profiles: different light colours, different type of pulsing or switch the light off completely (which saves the battery). Battery life is good, I purchased the headphones about a week ago and didn't need to charge them yet. As summary: I was delighted to find something that doesn't hurt my ears, is very decent built quality, good sound quality, attached mic and no cable - all for a very good price! My boyfriend has got the same pair and been using it for about a year (more or less) and he's very happy with them too.

Very sturdy, high quality wireless headset
Unlike it's predecessors, this headset has a much nicer build quality to it and feels strong and sturdy. The ear-cups are comfortable and fully submerge the ears inside the headset, leaving it usable for hours without any aches or pain on the ears. the wireless range is fantastic if your doing something in the room next door and listening to music, or watching a film and want to relax on the sofa without keeping others awake. I will be honest in saying that I do think that the USB style connection is a little out-dated, but this is a reasonable sacrifice for the product you receive. The audio leaves more to be desired when you are using the built-in iCue equalisers but if you create custom ones and use peoples settings provided on the corsair forums, you can get a fantastic audio experience - you just have to put that little bit of work in. Alternatively, these are Dolby Atmos compatible and can be used with the Dolby atoms spatial feature on windows and pairs up with the Atmos app provided on the Microsoft app store for a phenomenal cinematic sound experience. Overall, very good headset and very happy with the performance. Though it may not apply, the old versions of the corsair voids had issues with battery quality diminishing within months - But I expect the battery performance of these will be far more better. I will update my review in time with feedback on the battery, though right now it's holding a good 10 hours with no need for charging.

Mic unusable out of the box. iCue software unreliable.
Microphone As it arrived, the microphone is pretty much unusable due to the volume. As can be seen in the attached picture, Windows picked it up as 3-4% with all of the volume settings for the mic maxed out. This was slightly better when recording in game, but this will depend on what software you are using. After doing a lot of Googling, this seems to have been a known problem with these headsets since 2015, Corsair said something about a fix in 2015, but it appears none has been forthcoming. I haven't yet tested it, but multiple people saying that this does affect Discord. Presumably, if you are buying a gaming headset rather than a set of regular headphones from a better audio manufacturer, you want to use voice chat, so when buying this go into it assuming that you'll need to download (the free) 3rd party Equalizer APO software from Sourceforge to amplify the mic. This is such a common problem with this headset that there are a lot of YouTube videos explaining how to do this. The sweet spot for me, with this software, was setting the amp to 10db and lowering the Windows mic volume to 70%. Having the windows mic volume over 70% +10db resulted in intermittent crackling from the mic. iCue Software I already use the iCue software for other internal components, so I was prepared for it to be a bit temperamental, but just now the equalizer completely stopped having any effect on the audio output. I tried resetting the headphones, and restarting the software, but nothing worked. I had to force an update of the firmware to get it working again. Forcing a refresh of the firmware fixed the eq issues, but the voice prompts & mic mute light stopped working until I restarted the software. The iCue software is where you'll see the battery percentage. Annoyingly, when the headset is charging, the software doesn't give you any indication of what percentage the battery is at, which is all the more annoying as the instruction manual tells you to unplug it when it's finished charging. Lighting The mute light on the mic is a nice touch, but you'll almost certainly want to turn off the RGB lighting to preserve battery life. Sound Quality The sound seems great in game, and not too bad for music (As long as the eq is working). I'm not an expert on this though, so I'd suggest anyone who is concerned to find a review from one of the PC gaming websites, as it can be a bit weak on the bass. Fit I have a large head, and the fit is still quote loose, but not to the point where I can see it falling off. I actually think I prefer it than it clamping to my head. Overall thoughts Highly questionable reliability for a £99 product. Currently going back and forth on whether to return it for a refund, due to the number of technical issues in the less than 24 hours I've owned it, and the fact that you shouldn't need to immediately download 3rd party software to account for a manufacturer defect. If it was a bit cheaper (Say around £60-£70) I'd certainly keep it, but I'm worried about what problems are waiting around the corner. Update: I've discovered another bug, which Corsair said they would fix 3 years ago and never did, the battery indicator in iCue never reaches 100%. It maxes out at 93%, though it did briefly flicker to 95%.

Quality headset, perfect for everyday casual use.
A very sturdy headset, great build quality as to be expected from anything Corsair. Sound quality I would give 8/10, is going to be perfect for gaming and normal music use. Obviously not top of the range in terms of sound for the relatively low price, but the average person is going to have no problem with it. The audio does need tweaking in corsair utility engine software which goes along with this device, as the factory settings aren’t amazing. Mic quality appears to be bang average, 6/10, if you’re using this for gaming with friends it will be perfect but if you’re a content creator this is not the mic for you. It works for me fine though as a casual gamer. Headset is somewhat heavier than average and bulky in size, not a problem for me at all though. The materials used to make this are of a high quality, you would struggle to break this if you tried. Regular use of taking on/off and dropping it now again, it will probably last many years. Wireless works great, such a big difference from my previous wired set up, giving me a lot more freedom of movement and reduced wire clutter on my desk. Simple usb set up for wireless connection, and a separate usb cable for charging, which can be plugged into PC or power socket. Packing was great, everything was nicely packed and wrapped. Came with instructions for operating the headset (which I did not need to look at as its very simple). I gave it a full charge before use which didn’t take long as it was about 3/4 of the way there already. Overall, I am very happy with this product and would recommend it for other casual users.

DOES NOT HAVE DOLBY AUDIO
I needed to replace my Corsair Void PRO wireless, and actually got these thinking they were them. But no, these are the ELITE, the look and feel exactly the same in every way - only the elite, for some reason only known to CORSAIR, has some generic 7.1 surround sounds and not DOLBY AUDIO like the PRO. I have no idea why some of their products have it and some do not. Given they also lock out your wifi dongle for use with the one headset you got that dongle with, and can't unpair them to pair with another Corsair headset, i couldn't even use the ELITE headset in combination with my old PRO dongle. the 7.1 surround was beyond garbage, didn't matter how much i played with the equaliser, my custom one that's perfect with my PRO, the sound just remained not only tinny, and not quite right in various other ways - but the 'surround' in terms of audio location was drastically off. I play video games with this headset amongst just casually watching videos etc and people in front of me to a side sounded like they were behind me - utter garbage. Do not buy. The sad part is i could not find a single pair of VOID PRO on sale anywhere on amazon, corsair shop or 15 other online retailers.

Perfette
