Surgical Steel 4mm Ear piercing Earrings studs 12 pair Mixed Colors White Metal by Caflon, Glass and Surgical Steel

I can't wear what is called 'fashion earrings' my ears get raw and sore after a couple hours. Even ones that are supposed to be hypoallergenic, I react to what ever the earring front is made of. I can wear these because they are all steel. Because they're made for piercing and have to be in the ear for months they are made really well. The large backs don't dig into my ears. In fashion earrings the backs are sometimes small and sharp and don't stay on. I find thicker posts to be more comfortable and they keep my holes large enough to make the easy to see for my old eyes. I prefer bezels over prong set because the stones stay bright. I have 9 piercings in each ear. Clusters of these 4mm and the 3mm look really cute. I'm wearing all yellow topaz colored ones because I can't wait for fall to get here. The colors are bright and sparkly. A bonus is a set of 12 pairs of these costs less than 12 of those itchy fashion earrings. These are 16 guage earrings. If you got pierced at Claire's, those are 20 guage. It's best to wait a year for lobes and 2 years or longer for cartilage before bumping them up to 16 guage. I saw some reviews that showed pictures of earrings in baggies and and a separate baggies of cheap dodgy looking backs. Those are not Caflon, they are not sterile. Send them back!

I bought these for my 3 year old daughter. I was hesitant because of the few reviews of the post being too big. It is the same size as the studs they used to pierce her ears and I had no issues getting them in. The back is just like piercing ones also. They snap on. Got to really push them on to snap and I like it like this. (I advise to put the back on before putting them in so you will see) They will stay on well like the ones she got her ears pierced in. Other earrings from Walmart, I have lost so many times due to them coming out when we simply change her shirt. They are very shiny and I like the size of them, not too small and not huge either. They are recognizable and pretty. My 3 year old loved picking out what color she wanted today. I am worried about if she will be sensitive to them but if they are really surgical steel like her piercing earrings were, then she won't have no problems, she never did with them. They have been on all day and I have been checking her ears and no swelling, or itching, or miscolor yet, if it does happen, I will update my review. For this price, this was a deal

First off I want to say I love them and am very happy with the purchase. I got the 4mm in stainless set. I can even see buying the gold 4mm set as well in the future. The colors are lovely and the stones are large enough to really show the color. The packaging was small sterile piercing packs so if you are using them to actually pierce your or somebody 's ears then that might matter to you. I didn't get these for piercing, only for my own use as regular earrings. These have large posts and I knew that from other reviews before buying. I have ears that want to close up fairly fast so that didn't bug me. I actually wanted the larger posts to help stretch my tiny holes just a bit. However they are large posts and that might be a problem for some. For those unfamiliar gauge numbers, they get smaller as the size gets bigger. I used a caliper to measure the earrings I was pierced with and those are a 20 gauge. 18 to 20 gauge are typically used for most regular earrings. These measure out very close to a 16 gauge. Perhaps just a bit smaller like a 17 gauge? They are a bit tight for me going in and probably will be for most people who don't have their ear piercings stretched. They will fit but just be aware that it is bigger then most posts. These earring posts are just big enough to cause me a touch of discomfort and a speck of blood from getting them in. I am hoping to get my holes to this size because my ears just want to close. The only other thing I feel I should mention is that the posts seem to be the same actual length as most of my other earrings however...These earrings don't fit like others because of the thicker posts. It feels shorter on the ear. Now I have fairly thin earlobes and these do feel fine but because of the thicker post the post feels shorter as well. Like I said its pretty much the same length post as almost all the others I have. It just feels shorter. Here is my take on these. If you have thick earlobes these probably won't work for you. If you have tiny holes then these might feel uncomfortable going in. Even cause a touch of bleeding. If you have holes that are a bit stretched already then these might fit better then regular 18 or 20gauge. If you have have tiny holes that want to close up fast then these might give you the right amount of stretch to your holes to open them up a bit but keep in mind you should treat your ears as re-pierced for awhile till they have a chance to get used to being this size.

These earrings are pretty, but the stones are very, very small. I purchased these because 1) I prefer the larger posts of piercing earrings and I needed hypoallergenic earrings for my sensitive ears, and 2) I wanted something dainty. These are close. What I like: This is a set of 12 pairs so there is a color to match everything. The backs stay on. They are comfortable to wear for weeks on end without removing. They don't irritate my sensitive ears. They have the larger posts I was looking for. I wish these were offered in a size 2mm larger. With the silver wrap the stones are very small and it's hard to see them. Overall a great value.

Easy to use. Bought again, first purchased in 2023. I tend to lose earrings. Similar to Claire's starter earring but slightly thinner. [Most starter gauges are standard at about 20 g- which is .8mm. 18 g/ 1mm and 16 g/ 1,2mm gauges for cartilage piercings.] I don't think they are 4mm, that would be a 6G which is used for stretching. Its more like a 22 gauge/ .6mm but they are not 20s. They are exactly what I wanted. I have a lot of piercings in my ears and change out my earrings a lot. These clean well. I use tree tea oils or rubbing alcohol to clean, though most recommended is a sea salt spray. It tends to be less harsh on skin and a medical-grade sterile spray can be under ten dollars. I have used all three and the earring hold up well. Hope this review helps. They come individually sealed and are great for backup earrings. If you have a pericing gun, these fit the standard model.

I needed some studs to widen the holes in my ears that have been slowly closing for the last several years now that I only wear earrings a few times a year. I'm allergic to nickle and most cheap earrings and even silver plated earrings irritated my ears in a matter of hours. Because of this I only wore them for special occasions and each time I had to almost re-pierce my ear, which was getting old and more difficult each time. These piercing studs were just what I needed to be comfortable for continuous wear, and sturdy enough to stay on and not get in the way. The backs are actually hard to get off, so I know they won't come off by accident. Until my ears finish adjusting to daily earring wear again I do need to take them out and swab my ears and each earring with alcohol or peroxide to maintain confort, but overall these are a dream to wear compared to what I had. The tapered end was especially helpful the first time I had to poke them in, but the thicker posts have already helped widen the holes so that getting them in/out is no longer the chore it was a few days prior.

Each one individually packaged in a small blister pack, and perforated so you can keep them as one sheet or tear the color you want off. Easy to open, earrings securely nestled in plastic, looks very clean. Lot of sparkle, decent sized stones, and shiny metal. The posts are sharp and thicker than standard studs, as you would expect for newly pierced ears. They are not too sharp to be comfortable though, and have a little edge etched near the back so you wont put the back on too tight or have it fall off. For such a great price, they are exactly what I was looking for, and the pretty colors look exactly as advertised. My daughter has had hers on a couple weeks continuously, and the stones have not fallen out. I think this is the longest she has gone without losing a stud, and I already plan to steal a color or two for myself. While these are packaged more for using to pierce ears, they would make a wonderful gift for a girl or teen because all the colors are visible in the layout. I will likely purchase more to divide up and use as stocking stuffers or small gifts.

Well, I broke down and bought these for myself because I needed some earrings I can keep in my ears without getting an infection. I have no issues with what they look like, and at first, I thought I would dislike the backings. However, the backings are very, very secure and do not leave the post sticking out to press into my skin. For the most part, the gems seem secure, though I do have at least one earring that has a loose stone that rattles a bit, though it does seem like it won't actually fall out. The January and February stones are so dark it is difficult to tell them apart, but over all, the colors are fine and everything looks solid. Now here is my problem with these earrings. I'm not experienced with piercings and sizes; I only have my first and second lobes pierced. I had them pierced a long time ago when I was 10 and 12 years old. Since then, I've been accustomed to what I am sure is 18 gauge earrings, which i thought was the standard size for piercing. This is the problem with these studs, though. When I got the earrings in the mail, I opened them and noticed that the posts were thicker than what I am used to seeing in earrings. At first, i thought maybe it was just the plastic casings around the earrings that made it seem that way, so I opened one pair. The posts were noticeably thicker than any of my other stud earrings that I can no longer wear due to allergies. I shrugged it off and tried to put the earrings in my ears and noticed it was hurting; the posts were stretching my earring holes. I asked the seller about the gauge size, but they only told me that it is the standard size for piercing and that all their earrings are the same size and that they do not gauge them. The seller was unhelpful in the messages I sent, so now I am stuck with 12 sets of earrings that I can't wear. I am still unsure about gauges, but I think they might be closer to 14 gauge, in case anyone is wondering. Oh, and they are very difficult to unclasp after you put the backing on. I was worried that I might have to go to a hospital or some piercing place to get it removed. Luckily, my mother was able to pull it hard enough to get them out, but it really hurt.
