great filter
Original equipment and a great price, shipped to my door. The filter is typically *almost* more important (quality-wise) than the oil, as long as you get the proper weight/type for your car.The Toyotas tend to use what looks like a dinky filter compared some others. So it should be no surprise that the internal construction might be a bit different. In the case of the much older Toyota "22R" 4 cylinder engine, the OEM filter was critical to ensuring that the timing chain tension sprocket and assemblies would not "run dry" on startup. I have no problem using *some* non-OES filters on other brands of cars, but don't fool around with the Toyotas.Since the OES are comparable in price to other name brand oil filters, it makes it a moot point to use others anyway (whether they be good or not so good). So while the need for a OES with the newer Toyotas may not be as critical, I'd rather not tempt fate - I've never had an issue with these, ever.

Highly recommend OEM filters, probably not the best price out there though
Bought one of these for my Scion tC and it works great. I decided to finally ditch the Frams and use OEM filters. But just FYI, there are better deals out there for 5 or 10-packs of these that work out to be much cheaper. I think I will get one of those packs next time instead of buying individual ones here at a higher price. But the filter itself is a good value, the OEM ones actually have pretty decent quality at a comparable price to anything you could get at Walmart. Long-term, I think it's worth it to consider ditching the cheap-o filters and try some of these.

Necessary For The Scions!!
The Scion doesn't seem to like any of aftermarket oil filters. For some design reason, the barely hang on by just a thread or two. The genuine Toyota part spins on plenty deeply, without concern of proper fitment. Unfortunately, it's about $11. A bit more, but worth it for a proper fitting filter. Don't bother with ANY of the aftermarket units; the threads that hold it on, just don't work right on the Scions. Cheaper than the dealer, as long as you get it with free shipping. Otherwise, pick up the oil filter at the Toyota dealer.

OEM product very fast free delivery. .. WOW
Bought on the 12th of February, shipped free via UPS, received on the 14th of February. Two OEM filters for my Toyota. Cost was a bit less than the dealer wanted. I do no not see how you can lose. Thank you Amazon.com. I have used OEM oil filters(Toyota 90915-yzzf1) on the 2004 Camry Aluminum four cylinder since it was new (8 years ago). she runs well, burns no oil and the engine is clean when you look into the port where the oil is added during an oil change (no sludge deposits). The car has 113,000 miles on it and gets 34.5 mpg on the highway. I can not complain and will continue to do what ever maintenance it takes to keep the old girl running well. Nothing more important than good maintenance that costs so little in the end.Regards, Pag

Longer than aftermarket filters
This item was exactly as pictured and cheaper than walmart fram version which isnt long enough for this car. Should only buy this filter or the one from dealer as the Toyota one is longer than aftermarket and the car runs better
