Needed a couple of inline couplers for extending Ethernet runs, and these did exactly what they’re supposed to do. The connections are snug, the latch holds tight, and I’m getting full speed through them with zero drop in performance. No wiggle, no random disconnects, no cheap-feeling internals. They’re rated for everything from Cat5e through Cat8, and so far they’ve handled high-speed traffic without any issues at all. Simple, reliable, and way better than some of the flimsy couplers I’ve used in the past. If you need a clean, low-profile way to join two cables without sacrificing performance, these are a solid buy. Would get them again without hesitation.

always work great and a snug fit

I am most likely not the only person in the world to have made a lot of changes to my home network over the course of 2020. I’m also probably not the only one who has a higher SLA now that multiple office worker family members are working from home full time. Combine the requirements changes and the need for minimal downtime and you have times when you need couplers to fill in the gaps until you can install patch panels or more permanent solutions. In at least these conditions, these couplers are beautiful. I’ve been using 4 or 5 of them for around three months. These are every bit as reliable and solid as a patch panel. In fact, you could think of these like a 1 port barrel type patch panel. If you’re one of the people who actually NEED shielded cat 6 or above and know why you need them and aren’t just buying the “newer” cable then you’ll also know why these won’t work for your application. For the 99.9999% of people who just need cat5 cable with 4 twisted pairs for gig Ethernet, these will be absolutely fine. I’ve got no idea why some people say these don’t work. Maybe they have a bad batch from time to time... mine are all good to go.

Decent build quality. Only complaint is they are kind of difficult to disconnect the cables from.

These connectors worked like a charm. I easily lengthened several of my shorter CAT5E cables to enable me to plug my computer into my POE Switch which was in another room (about 40 feet away). Happy i didn't have to purchase an additional longer cable because I used what I had. Great little connector to have on hand. (6 are in the package - price is right)
