Bose SoundLink Mini Soft Cover, (Energy Green)

I was very hesitant to purchase this cover after reading so many negative reviews, even if they were only negative because of the price. But I am very glad I went with my gut and overlooked the naysayers. I hope my review can put this cover into perspective for those of you thinking about how to protect your Soundlink Mini. First off, I absolutely love my Bose Soundlink Mini. It was a birthday gift that I immediately knew I wanted to protect. I had a million plans for where I would take my speaker, and how cool it would be to have music with me everywhere. I couldn't risk the possibility of marring my Soundlink Mini's beauty. I am very much a control freak (is that the right description?), constantly obsessing over keeping my nice things nice. I knew I had to find the most practical way to do this. I considered using a plastic bag to scratch proof the speaker, but a lifetime of a bulky bag seemed overkill (and annoying). I also debated not doing anything. Toys are meant to be played with, right? But visions of ugly little scratches on the beautiful aluminum body didn't sit well with me, either. Finally, I stumbled upon the soft cover on Amazon and I thought all my problems were solved. It was perfect, right? A handy-dandy little slip cover to hug my little Mini's body and give it that little oomph of protection I was looking for. But then why did so many people complain of it's overly-priced, cheap plasticness? "Twenty-five dollars?" they said. "Too overpriced." I was stuck. Would the Baggie be a better option? Finally, I caved. I realized that I spent that kind of money (at least $25) getting a case for my new iphone, and that case was essentially just plastic. I knew I wouldn't leave my phone unprotected because I'm not stupid. Accidents definitely happen (just ask my poor blackberry pearl). If I am going to have expensive things, it only makes sense to take precautionary measures against those random "oops" moments. I realized that protecting this $200 speaker is worth the $25 I'd spend on the case. After a month of having the case on my Mini, I am beyond satisfied with my decision. Yes, it isn't a hard case (just really nice, thick plastic), and I'm sure it wouldn't protect the speaker if I dropped it off a roof, but the plastic is durable and fits the speaker like a glove. It looks like it's part of the speaker and it doesn't hinder the buttons or the charging process; it fits on the dock just as well. And to top it off, the color is great. But the best part is, now I can pack my Mini without the worries of unwanted scratches. For me, $25 was a small price to pay for my peace of mind.

It is what the product states it should be: a cover for the Bose SoundLink Mini. It will protect the product from small bumps and dings. I'm not going to expect it to fully protect the hefty Mini from a fall though. There are a lot of reviews stating that it is hard to apply this on the Mini due to the tight fit but I did not have any problems applying mine. The cover will only go on the Mini one way. Don't push your Soundlink Mini through colored edge protector (in this case, blue). You have to insert the Mini through the bigger bottom opening inserting the right side first (where the Aux and power openings are) then utilizing the slit on the left side of the cover, pry it open and over the edges. It took less than a minute to put it on.

Bought it for my Bose SoundLink Mini Speaker . Overall, it is a fantastic product. I love it - durable plastics, good engineering design, and excellent fit except the price. I would give 5-star if it costs under $20. PROS 1) Not affect the sound quality. I could not hear any difference with or without the cover. 2) Good engineering design. My favorite part is the Edge Protection. This feature not only offers better protection than Bose Leather Cover but also makes it much easier to HOLD the speaker - remember Bose Mini weights 1.5 lb, and the extruding edges are helpful. 3) Durable plastic. It is Not made from cheap thin-film plastic. Its thickness is ~2mm and tough & stiff. It should provide good impact and scratch protection. 4) Fit the speaker very tightly. Got to follow the installation instruction from the manual. CONS 1) $24.95 is a little pricey, more than 10% cost of Bose Mini . Under $20 maybe more reasonable. 2) Limited color options.

We bought three. Two for our own Bose Mini's and one as a gift. We love them, as does our son-in-law. He travels a lot and uses his to listen to audiobooks while he drives. He has the travel case for his Mini and it fits in the travel case fine with the cover on. Be warned...putting them on your Bose is as difficult as a woman trying to put on a pair of skinny jeans that are two sizes too small...and then getting them zipped up. But it is well worth the work. The cover provides protection and covered up the dent in one corner of one of mine where it got knocked off a counter onto the tile floor. Had I had this cover, there would have been no dent. Can't recommend this cover highly enough...a wonderful product.

This is great, the Bose Sound Link Mini has some serious sharp edges that can easily scratch anything you unintentionally scrape. It protects your device and other things from being scared by the Bose SoundLink mini. It fits perfectly to the product it is made for and does NOT cover any of the ports and or physical buttons on the device. This actually aesthetically pleasing as well there are other colors that you can purchase as but, I prefer to keep it as close to what it orignally looks like because the device itself is very good looking. This case does not take away from that.

Knowing how easy it is to scratch and damage Bose product surfaces, I bought this sleeve to protect our new SoundLink speaker unit. I wish the grey had been available when we bought it, but it wasn't, so I settled for the slightly muted neon blue. First impression is how tacky this cover appears up close - it is a slightly sticky-feeling silicon rubber type material, and the neon-bright edging adds to the low cost appearance. Of course, being a Bose product, it is anything but low cost! Having said that, it does the job perfectly. It is a slight struggle to get it on, but patience and care will get results. All of the ports are available with it in place (audio and power) and it works great. Protects the speaker very nicely. Now I have to decide whether I hate the color enough to spring for a grey one..... :)

Two reasons some people gave this fewer stars were that it was only available in bright colors and that it had to be removed to fit on the docking station. Since those reviews came out, Bose added a grey version, which is what I bought. You can't even tell there is a add-on. It fits snugly and the color blends in perfectly. As for the issue with the docking station, I suspect all the people who said that purchased the red leather version. The grey rubber one works fine on the dock.

Looks OK and protects the top and sides. It doesn't cover the front or back. That is a good thing considering that is where the sound come out. I take my SoundLink to the beach and it does protect it from scratches but it will not protect from it getting wet. For the price, I can only give it 3 stars. If it was half as expensive, I would give it a higher rating.

For an item that costs 16k+, it is worth investing in this

Gleichzeitig zum kauf des Bose SoundLink Mini habe ich mir diese originale Schutzhülle zugelegt. Die Farbe ist bekanntlich Geschmackssache - aber bei mir musste es das Neon-Grün sein ;-) Der Sinn des Bose SL Mini ist ja das portable abspielen von Musik. Nun ist das Gehäuse aus Alu und sieht so schön & hochwertig aus das es viel zu Schade ist um so benutzt zu werden. Da ärgert man sich über jede Macke - und das geht schnell. Für mich stand sofort fest: ich brauche eine Hülle dafür! Zum Artikel: ++ Passgenauigkeit ++ Design (mit den Farben) ++ Schutz gegen unschöne Macken ++ Aussparungen nicht zu groß und nicht zu klein ++ Haptik (fühlt sich gut an; liegt angenehm in der Hand) ++ Qualität (Saubere Verarbeitung; kein Mängel) +/- das anbringen der Hülle geht nicht gerade von selbst. Man benötigt Kraft und dabei hat man Angst den Artikel dadurch zu zerstören - das ist mir bisher allerdings noch nicht gelungen, da das Material der Hülle wirklich gut ist. Und es muss ja auch straff sitzen. Ansonsten gibt es nichts zu Beanstanden! Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Queda perfecto. El color ideal con el modelo nuevo de color carbón. Si sigues las instrucciones es muy fácil de poner.

Davvero pratico, conferisce un tocco di colore al diffusore Bose e lo protegge dagli urti senza compromettere le doti di compattezza, raffinatezza e minimalismo del prodotto, a mio avviso un ottimo acquisto sul quale stona leggermente solo il prezzo, se fosse riposizionato nella fascia compresa tra 10 e 15 Euro sarebbe senza dubbi un acquisto indispensabile per i possessori del Soundlink Mini. Comunque ottimo.
