I have diabetic neuropathy and some nerve damage in my feet due to a broken back, so my feet are extremely sensitive and usually in pain night and day. Staying on my feet is pretty uncomfortable for extended periods of time. I'm a university professor and while I like to be a "roamer" when I teach in the classroom, these days I'm forced to sit for most of my lectures. These shoes are the most comfortable I've had in quite a while. Their size is 8.5 extra wide and if you look closely, you'll see that they appear to be a bit wider than the ordinary dress shoe, but without the look of "clown shoes". They're nice and I definitely recommend them.

I purchased these shoes because I have forefoot pain behind my toes. I was hoping to find sneaker-comfort in a dress-shoe. I have to say that I am a little disappointed because they do not seem that orthotically different from a normal dress shoe other than having a larger toe box. It feels like I'm walking on a flat hard surface even though I wear them with an orthotic insole. They seem to be well made and are attractive but I was really hoping they would be a lot more plush.

Sizing does not conform to standard. The 10.5 C/D men's shoe I received is both shorter and narrower than standard (maybe narrower because of the "C/D" designation rather than the usual "D"). Followed the recommended break-in and immediately got redness on my heals from the shorter length as well as discomfort from the narrower width. Also there is no padding/cushioning at the back of the heel / ankle area. Good looking dress shoe and the materials quality seemed high. Bought black and chestnut. Black is accurate. Chestnut actual not even close to web photo color. It's more ecru than chestnut with no red/orange hue.

Leather makes a great quality shoe and these are a nice leather! Comfortable and fit as expected. I would recommend.

I have to wear oxford dress shoes at work as a server where I have to walk 8 miles a day! This is the only pair that doesn’t hurt my feet!
