Metal clasp got so bent that it would no longer open
These are great in theory. I bought them for a trip into the mountains by myself. I wanted something I’d be able to install without any help. Practiced at home prior to the trip and once I realized how to use the red tool to help me it was ok. I have a Mini Cooper with quite small tires though, there isn’t much room to loop these through and I think it wood be much easier on bigger tires.Luckily, there was no requirement for chains so I almost didn’t have to use them. But then my car got stuck on the last stretch turning into the drive way of the rental cabin. I ended up installing 3 of these on each side and they got me out of the pile of snow plow snow I was stuck in. But then when I wanted to remove them after driving only a few feet, 2 of the 6 wouldn’t open at all. The clasps were bent. On one I was able to wiggle it open eventually but the other metal clasp was bent so badly that I ended up having to cut it open. I think if you drive a longer stretch with these, all of the clasps might end up being bent, turning this into a one time use only product.

No high hopes here
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Just got these and right out of the box there are problems as you can see in the videos. Ok, 1 video (Amazon won't let me upload 2).No time to return and get others, so I will use them and see what happens...

These are easy to install.
I haven't tried these yet but they look like they should get you out of a minor stick in the snow, which is what I bought them for. I wouldn't use them on the highway.

Good in case of emergency but...
Do they work? Yes. Will they last ? No . This is a good set of “in case of emergency “ chains . If you need chains with any regularity , spend some money and get better ones . These did get us down a very snowy mountain safely and they were super easy to put on . After about 5 miles mostly standstill use about half of them are broken ( the little metal grippers fall out ) but we are still very glad we had them and I’m not unhappy with the dollar vs utility ratio .

Easy to install
It’s easy to install and remove. The chains are locked properly and the build looks fine. So far so good. I will update the performance once rolling on a snowy day.

as advertised.
The product folds up nicely, compact. Seems to be what I need.

Try something else
Yes, easy install and removal. That was probably the only good thing about these.
