I’ve been using the Lumma high for a year now and I wont be looking back. I’ve used pads, tampons and cups and this is the best balance of a tampon and a cup in my opinion. it will take 1/2 cycles to get used to it as with any menstrual product but it works great, Easy to put in as it folds thinly (enough for me) and very easy to push behind pelvic bone as you can feel it. No hassle with suction, pain or cramps as I used to have with cups. I cant feel it once its in there just like a tampon. I then just tuck the string in, leaving it out means you can feel it so I wouldn't recommend leaving it out. Catches everything and auto-dump works for me, so going to the toilet means I can empty it without removal. Making day 2 easy for me. Removal is easy because of the ‘string’, no need to bear down or search, the string is right by the entrance so I can easily pull it down, because its flexible, its painless. I wear it by itself or on day 2 I’ll wear a thin pantyliner if I’m out and about and won’t always have a toilet. Would definitely recommend discs for anyone who doesn’t prefer pads and tampons and hasn’t liked cups. It’s comfortable, easy, painless.

Definitely easier than a menstrual cup for ease of going in and can’t feel it as much either. Obviously it’s a messy job if you had used cups before there’s not much difference. Enjoyable so far think I may have switched. Small looks very very small when it arrived but fit well and only minimal leaks to start with should become less once insertion and placement have been perfected.

This product arrived super quickly, but that happened to be on the last day of my period. I washed and boiled it and gave it a go, so easy to use. I had watched some tips videos on Period Nirvana so was well prepared but found it MUCH easier than my moon cup. As my flow was very light I can’t give a thorough review but there was no leakage, no discomfort and the string gave me so much peace of mind. Super duper easy removal and I love there is no suction and no seal to break. We all know a reason for buying this is mess free period seggs and this product didn’t disappoint (though as I was so light it wasn’t a super good test), we could both feel it (no discomfort or issues with that though), I tucked the string inside as I was worried it would be annoying so needed to bare down to help with removal but it was easy. All in all very pleased and will absolutely be using for my next period.

I was really looking forward to trying out this product having become increasingly uncomfortable with menstrual cups. This looked like a great alternative. I followed the sizing instructions to the letter and ordered for high cervix, however it does not fit me at all, it is way too big and therefore doesn't work. A really expensive way to find out a product will not work for you, I cannot afford to order again and so back to the cups it is. I don't know the way around this, for this price with a product that you cannot actually test true sizing and the instructions do not work for everyone, I wouldn't recommend.

I’ve been using disposable discs for a few years, I love how comfortable and convenient they are but I hate the waste. I was worried about silicon discs not having enough rigidity or the size being different but the Lumma is almost exactly the same as the disposable discs for me. I got the large size lumma and it’s exactly the same size as a disposable disc. I’ve had no trouble getting it in and into place and not had any more mess than with other cups (try not to pull down as you remove it, keep it as level as possible). Other cups use suction and they increase my cramping - discs don’t cause this problem for me at all. I’m so pleased with the Lumma! I’m so glad I’m no longer putting plastic into the trash every month!

I don't want to leave a bad review. I think it's important to note that it probably doesn't work for everyone... I have MEGA heavy flows and use a mooncup. I really wanted to try this one and was very pleased how easy it was to insert and felt so much more comfortable. I followed the instructions, even cut the string... tried and tried again but it leaked everywhere and never filled.

Not got on with this disc feeling uncomfortable with it in so gone back to using a Cup instead x Just not for me as an avid cup user for 5 plus years x

I have been using menstrual cups for a few months now - they were a game changer for me but was still experiencing the odd small leak (not ideal). Decided to give a disc a go but felt a bit worried about the removal process so opted for the Lumma which has the long stem for reassurance that I wouldn't be able to not get to it. I do think the whole process for me was easier with using one as I had experience with a cup first. You feel no suctions with disc as it doesn't work using suction. Once inside you dont feel it. Watch Youtube tutorials regarding the correct method for placement/insertion- helped a lot! The stems can be trimmed if they're too long. No leaks experienced. Only downside is removal is not as 'clean' with discs vs cups. That being said, you can just make sure you schedule in a convenient time during the day to empty it with this in mind. Wish Amazon sold all the other colors too, but clear is a good option to ensure you have cleaned it properly.

Bin hier bei Amazon drauf gestoßen (bis dato dachte ich, Discs sind immer Wegwerfartikel), habe dann aber auf Period Nirvana (videos bei YT) etliche Rezensionen gesehen und wie man sie richtig anwendet. Eine Offenbarung!! Meine Periode ist in den ersten zwei Tagen sehr stark, sodass ich mit normalen Periodenprodukten eigentlich das Haus nicht verlassen kann. Außerdem habe ich in den beiden Tagen sehr starke Schmerzen. Menstruationstassen nehmen mehr auf und ich hätte damit ein paar Stunden (6-8) Ruhe, wenn sie denn richtig sitzen würden… ich habe leider noch keine gefunden, die wirklich „dicht“ ist. ABER: Diese Disc sitzt einfach perfekt !! Sie ist wirklich kaum zu spüren (bis auf den Rückholstring) und die Anwendung ist super intuitiv und selbsterledigend (trotzdem ist das Tutorial von period nirvana echt hilfreich!!)… ich bin begeistert! Ich hatte so Angst vor Periode + Strand im Urlaub und jetzt weiß ich, es kann nichts schief gehen. Ich würde noch mehr Sterne vergeben, wenn es denn gehen würde! <3

I had been thinking of swapping to a menstrual cup for a few months, due to my flow increasing. My research led me to discs instead as better for first time users that never had kids. This was the first time I tried a disc and I found it extremely easy to figure out. Once it's in you can not feel it at all, the cord tickled sometimes but I just had to tuck it in. I worn it for five days straight, at home and at work, and it didn't leak once. Absolutely loved not having to worry about changing pads during shifts. I guess discs are indeed a game changer and I can 100% recommend this one!

Das ist wider Erwarten eine super tolle und dichte Tasse! Habe schon mehrere ausprobiert, die entweder nicht richtig dicht waren oder gedrückt haben. Diese ist perfekt. Ich habe einen verkürzten Gebärmutterhals und nichts drückt mehr. Und Größe S ist absolut ausreichend. Der Faden war mir zu lang und habe ihn einfach gekürzt. Super toll!

Ich habe mich vor Jahren an Menstruationstassen versucht und habe unterschiedliche Modelle ohne Erfolg ausprobiert und aufgegeben. Ich bin deshalb auf Menstruationsunterwäsche umgestiegen und bin damit sehr zufrieden, doch jetzt war Badeurlaub genau zu meiner Periode und ich habe einen erneuten Versuch gewagt. Mit meinem hohen Muttermund und seiner Position bin ich anscheinend nicht für Tassen geeignet, aber für Discs. Und ich bin absolut begeistert, mein armer Freund musste sich dauernd anhören, wie happy ich bin :D (und ich war sehr skeptisch, aber man kann tatsächlich Sex damit haben und weder ich noch mein Partner konnten die Disc spüren) Details: Meine Blutungen sind seeehr stark und ich habe es einmal unterschätzt, aber mit ein bisschen trial and error saß sie gut und dicht, auch das Selbstentleeren bekomme ich hin und mit einer Slipeinlage als backup kam ich gut durch einen halben tag. Das Entfernen ist nichts für empfindliche Frauen, ich bin da sehr schmerzbefreit aber es ist definitiv wilder als mit Tasse. Entfernen unter der Dusche empfehlenswert :D Das Rückholband hab ich sofort gekürzt, weil ich nach meinen Tassenerfahrungen keine Panik mehr bekomme, wenn ich es nicht gleich erwische, aber für neue Benutzer ist es definitiv beruhigend und kann wenn es stört gekürzt oder nach oben geklappt werden. Da die Lumma in verschiedenen Größen kommt würde ich sehr empfehlen, die Höhe der Gebärmutter zu messen um die richtige zu bestellen. Auf der Lumma Homepage gibt es dafür eine Anleitung. Ich finde, um dem Produkt eine faire Chance zu geben sollte man sich vorher gut informieren, und wenn du dir unsicher bist findest du auf "period nirvana" einen Test, welches Produkt gut zu dir passen könnte.
