I put it between her shoulder blades but she still licks at it. Any suggestions?** A: I have a circus cat too and she would twist to lick the oil off in no time. So here's how I found the "sweet spot" We have a catnip flavored hair ball remedy gel (bought it here). She loves the taste so I put a bit into her fur where I thought she couldn't reach. Checked her a couple of hours later to see where she couldn't reach to lick and that's the spot I put the oil now. **Q: It does help to repels mosquitos?** A: Not sure! Mine is indoor, so not that many mosquitoes. It made her fur softer and helped with some of the itching. Also it smells good! That's all I can tell you! **Q: Two questions: How many applications come in one box? Does the box list the ingredients, and if so what are they?** A: There are 4 tiny plastic application vials in the box. I threw everything out, but I do recall that the box had about 6 different languages on it, English being about 3rd or 4th down the list, so not sure where it was manufactured. I do not recall seeing a list of ingredients sorry. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked really well for my two *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 October 2023* I have two cats, one 11 and one 12. The 12 year old was rescued by the SSPCA and had to be shaved because his fur was matted. As a result of the neglect, he had a load of skin issues that in turn caused fur problems. The other cat is a bit prone to dandruff.Admittedly, the two of them smelled like cough sweets for a couple of days after I applied this stuff. It has a very strong smell similar to clove oil. But I actually saw a difference in days. I hadn’t thought this would do much about Rassilon’s skin problems. It was his fur I’d thought of, but it has actually cleared up the sort of wart-like things he suffered from. He has a small area where he was the most badly matted when he was found that is a bit threadbare and I was hoping this might help regrow the fur and I think it has a little, but not too much as yet. It has totally cleared up both cats’ dandruff though, and that’s after a week and a half. I’m going to continue treating Rassilon with it and it might improve his wee baldy patch some more in time.Their fur though is so soft now. Frankenstein always was fluffy but he feels like silk velvet now, and Rassilon’s fur has lost the dry, greasy feel that came from the skin issues. So, basically, it stinks and your cats will stink for days, but it does seem to work pretty well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Healthy looking fur and no more flaking *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 17 May 2026* My cat used to have really flaky skin, especially during winter with the radiator on. I got those products suggested from my vet and have been trying it for the last couple of months. I really like that it’s all natural and it does help a lot and gifts a very shiny and healthy looking coat. I can only recommend this product if you cat has the same issue normal liking and while the smell is quite penetrant my cat didn’t seem to mind too much. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very happy *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 30 September 2024* I have been using this for 5 weeks on my 13 year old cat. It was recommended by my Vet as my cat was constantly scratching and grooming. She also had a short course of steroids. I had previously tried some other well known brands of anti-itching agents. But she wouldn't eat the treats or hated the spray. This is so much easier to apply. It smells of essential oils, but that soon fades.Lilly has stopped scratching and her fur is so soft and glossy. Totally recommend ## Frequently Bought Together - Essential 6 spot-on for Cats - Skin Care for Dandruff Dry or Oily Skin & Hair Loss - Natural Essential Oils & Fatty Acids - Healthy Skin & Coat - 4 Pipettes of 0.6 ml / 0.08 fl. oz - Cat Skin & Coat Health Crunchy & Creamy Chews - Omegas, Vitamin C + E, Biotin Supplement, Soothes Skin and Promotes Shiny Coat, Cat Supplements & Vitamins - Chicken (30-Day Supply) - Fluffy Feline Professional Groomer's Choice for Cat Dandruff Treatment Spray --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/162752501-essential-6-cat-spot-on-for-dandruff-dry-skin-coat](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/162752501-essential-6-cat-spot-on-for-dandruff-dry-skin-coat) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
