PreSonus Studio One 2.0 Professional DAW Software w/ Melodyne Essential Built-In

Took some time to get the program going and many of the bundled content and plugins had to be downloaded because the DVDs provided have a fatal error in them. Also they did advertise a partnership for a limited license of toontrack EZ Drummer that apparently ended.But, enough of the little inconveniences. Now that I'm up and running, I'm in love with this DAW and I whole heartedly endorse it. It's got a lot of horsepower under the hood. Very intuitive if you've worked with any other popular DAW. I came from a Logic background and many of the shortcuts are the same here. If not, a day or two on YouTube and you'll start putting workflows together. Most importantly, I find myself spending less time thinking about the process and more time thinking about the music.

I was able to register and download the latest upgrade. I bought from Audio Savings. I was being shown how to work withPro Tools 10 and someone had this program and we looked it over. It comes with a huge load of plug-ins; instruments,effects, etc. It is such a good deal I had to buy it. I have Pro Tools 10 running on one setup and Studio One on another.I wouldn't be without either of them. But if you are just beginning, get this. I'm not saying it is necessarily FOR beginners, it's a matter of personal preference, but it isn't the be-all, end-all that Pro Tools is. After all, Pro Tools is Avid. You see the Avidtrademark at the end of most of the movies you go to.

Terribly unstable..I dont know how many times I've had this software crash on my wiping out my recordings..Not to mention having all my files lost and an entire album wiped out..this companies response was oh well sorry, I had the files backed up on an external hard drive and still they cant be recovered..Dont waste your time or money..get something pros use

I got this from Audiosavings and can't say enough about how great it was dealing with them and their deep discount especially for the first time while most everyone else paid $399. Coupled with the fact it is one of the best DAW on the market. I installed it on my IMac without any problems... however make sure you read and follow ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS. Don't make the mistake I made calling Presonus who kept me waiting on the phone a 1/2 hr. then told me to email them and hung up on me. They have a GREAT PRODUCT but their tech support SUCKS!

Best Recording program out there. Easy to use and easy to learn. I started with the free version, but got this one for the full range of effects and mastering, and I'm glad I did. Love it.

Great DAW! I used it to record and mix my college E.P, found it much better than pro tools which i had been using over 5 years. You may find this program a bit clunky if coming from pro tools but after 1 day of using it i wont ever go back to any other program.The effects are great and the EQ plugins are amazing, it gives a visual graph which is great for new comers to mixing. The master output as has a great feature to switch between stereo and mono which is very helpful in mixing.Studio 3 is now out and is just as good, the interface is a bit different but the using midi is much easier now.
