OK in the microwave, and in a saucepan on the hob, simmering, both of which work very well. Lightly grease them, put a small circle of baking parchment in the bottom, pop the lids on, puddings will just slide out. Good luck! **Q: When making christmas puddings, do you steam with the lid on or off** A: I put the mixture in and microwaved without the lid for a few minutes.
