The heads are hand-fashioned from dense, heavy Japanese hardwoods noted for an ability to withstand impacts. The handles are made from Kashi (Japanese White Oak) for strength and longevity. Our 46 oz Hand Mallet can be used for a variety of purposes including hammering chisels, driving pegs and adjusting joinery. The head size is 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" x 5" and the handle length is 13-1/4".

Picture of item is a fraud.
I purchased this item because of the contrasting colors. It wasnt a stain it was a wax. I spent 2 hours trying to remove the wax. I tried to stain it but the embedded wax wont allow the stain to penetrate. Extremely disappointed.

Waste
Poor quality wood. It’s pitted with several deep knots on the handle. Also the head is made from the same, terrible wood as the handle. It is NOT two different colors. This has a greasy wax on it that has melted and pooled in the packaging.
