Value for the Money!
This is my absolute favorite! It is slim and light, fits in any pocket (jacket or jeans), and the battery is enough for a week (if you don't talk all the time, naturally). However, I use it mainly to take calls and I don't use any functions apart from calling and txt messages. It allegedly has a radio and camera but I have never tried to use either and I don't think I ever will. You can browse the internet with it but although the screen is fairly big and bright I would not recommend it too seriously unless you need a weather forecast or currency exchange rates. It does have games as well but if you're choosing your mobile to play games, how 'bout getting a life?Very decent materials, after three months of using not a trace of wear and tear. Nokia software is a league of its own but then if you had one Nokia you move on to the next and you don't look at others. And you don't need anyone trying to convince you how good it is. I have always asked for the cheapest Nokia there was and I have never complained. This is a phone for adults - you won't impress anyone with it. If you think your sex appeal needs some accessorizing, you may not find this one your perfect choice. In other words - if you need a phone, it is the perfect choice. If you need a lot of other stuff as well, it probably is not.

Poor quality of finish
The plating around the "Navi" key seems very soft and quickly wears away giving the phone a very battered and tatty look. The "Navi" key button itself appears to have been plated to a far higher standard though. Within less than a year my 2630, which was always carefully looked after, looked a complete mess because of the loss of plating. I've now changed to a silver 2330 but haven't had it long enough to find out if Nokia got the plating right on that.

Faulty
The screen failed within three days of receipt even though it had never even been taken out of the house.

Disappointing
This is a good phone but the purchase, sim-free, I made from an Amazon retailer gave no clue that what I would be getting was a branded item for another mobile service other than my own. This means that many of the features are not available and the only way I can go back to the Nokia factory item is by paying for it to be de-branded. Very disappointing that this was not mentioned.Despite this it is a good phone with lots of features for the price although it has some quirky ways compared to normal Nokia operations

All I need
I have no need of a phone that sings, dances or makes my tea. I just want it for making and receiving phone calls and sending and receiving text messages. The Nokia 2630 does these things particularly well and it's small and light. It does a few other things too (camera, radio, etc.), but I think it's as close as I'm going to get to a basic communication device.

So bad I returned it !!!
This phone sucks. Volume is very poor, reception is lousy, software is slow and the battery was deteriorating after less than a week, not holding its charge for 48 hours with absolute minimum use. I give it one star for its discreet design and the FM radio was quite good ... but what i really wanted was a usable phone and this was not fit for purpose. Most unlike my previous experience of Nokia units. An internet search suggests that my experience with this model was not an isolated one and I sent it back to the vendor who arranged a refund.
