AQUAPHOR Water Filter Jug Amethyst with 1 X MAXFOR+ 200L Cartridge - Capacity 2.8L - White

Straight away I was impressed with this water filter. The taste and texture of the filtered water is much much better than my previous Brita water filter, there is no chalky taste and the water feels softer which is such a bonus as this is a cheaper water filter. I also like the compactness, it seems to take up less space. The sliding lid that allows you to add water without removing the lid is a brilliant idea, again comparing to Brita which was a pain to get the lid off and on again. I haven't had this for very long but the timer for changing the filter seems to be moving too fast, but that is a minor gripe and I wouldn't go to the trouble of changing the unit. There is some movement in the plastic of the handle, but that might just be the way the unit is built, time will tell if that is a build quality issue. My wife thinks this is a step up as well and loves the quality of the water that is filtered and the functionality of the sliding lid. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a water filter jug.

I'm happily surprised by this. I've previously used a Brita filter and switched to Phox as the filters didn't even tough the horrible odour or taste of the water. The Phox filter was great at filtering out the flavour but was just really really slow at filtering making it an absolute pain to use. I'm so glad I chose to try this. It filters quickly and removes the unpleasant smell and taste of the water. I was unsure about the lid but I'm a big fan now I've used it for a little while. It is so much easier to not have to take of a lid or try to get the water through a little hole without getting any water on the top. It's also much easier for kids to use as you don't have to worry about the lid not being on properly and falling off mid pour. I love the overfill function that makes water run out of the handle when the filter reservoir is overfilled. I love that the water is running out of the handle into the sink instead of running into the main reservoir unfiltered like it does on filters I owned previously. The only downside for me is having to wait until the filter reservoir is fully empty before pouring as I'm habitually bad at refilling it and also very impatient. Overall great product and great quality so far.

The jug is nice, the system on the top is very different to what we are used, we have a Marella that has a flip top to fill it, this one is a slider that opens slits in the top, is a bit bigger than our Marella, but I think it still fits in our fridge door, nice looking, it has a dial that shows the life time of the cartridge. The price is great because it comes with 3 cartridges, we don't use Britta ones, we buy ones regularly (have been buying them I think from 2018 or 19) here from the Filter Logic store, the best ones after buying a few others here that were useless,, I am not sure they fit this jug, but I think they will, but even if we just used these 3 ones that came included, the price for the jug and the general looking and practicalities is perfect for what we wanted, I'm using them in my bedroom for my flier coffee machine, so it is only used in the morning, the system to tell you about the lasting of the cartridge I think works from after amounts, instead of the Britta which will change in a week, so all is well. I have to add that the one we bought came with a big crack on the handle which I did not see when I opened it, but we realised when we went to wash and fill, they were great, they sent us another the day after I started the return, we sent it back, great, no problems and the jug is, as I said, nice, quite solid and for now, good filtering, but we are not using it much, it gets only used in the morning, so I guess I will know if they are effective in a few weeks more, but after a few weeks experience, I find it great.

Very impressed with price delivery colour quality and size. I wasn't expecting much for the price but I am very impressed it's comfortable to hold when full and has a large water capacity the little extras like the dial so u know when the filter needs changing and the sliding top which means u can fill it without removing the whole lid. Only had this for 1/2 a day but I am impressed with everything about it. Even looks good on the work top

Not sure on the health benefits but I can definitely say that my kettle appreciates it as there is no more line scale build up! Taste is slightly sweetened too.

Good size and filter efficiency , value for money. Fits in fridge well.

Lovely size and filters quickly ( but ) the pouring spout is rubbish. When you are pouring into a glass the spout doesn't pour nicely so you end up with a puddle on your worktop.

I love this jug. So easy to use and stylish and easy to top up without lifting the lid. Great price too. It is compatible with other universal filters as well. Very pleased and highly recommend it.
