I bought these to use on a groundsheet. I found they worked much better than ones I had got from our local caravan shop, which split when used on a single layer. These did not, giving a much tidier result.

Excellent kit. I have 2 good fleeces where the upper zips have burst.I just marked out positions on the fleeces and put in the grommets and threaded thick laces through in a cross cross pattern.Great now I can go out for winter walks with the fleece's tied up to the the neck.

Try using on test piece of leather or thick card to get the hang of using , otherwise goodish quality and a fair price.

I found after my first couple of tries I was able to get the back off the eyelet with my fingers. My method now is to hammer several times quite hard, then turn it the 'wrong' way around on the anvil, hammer again, then back again for some more hammering. It's worth looking up some videos too, though it's harder to find them with this kind of tool. Search for "hammer setting grommets" with the commas for a useful one.

I used it for putting eyelets in a thick plastic/bubble combination material originally used for packing by a removals company. Final used was frost protection for an outdoor lime tree.

I haven't had chance to use yet, but I have had something similar in the past and this looks far superior. Good selection of eyelets supplied too

The cutter could not even cut through a piece of tissue paper. Yes I actually tested it. There is no chance this will cut through any material such as ribbon or tarpaulin. I ended up heating it with a blowtorch and melting holes in the tarpaulin. The eyelet riveter works fine.
