Classic work of social psychology
The book was in excellent condition. It's a classic of social psychology and it certainly lives up to its billing. I'm enjoying it immensely.

Anyone who is interested in human behavior must read this ...
Anyone who is interested in human behavior must read this book. You will not understand many strange phenomenon of human beings and cultures without this book. You will benefit from this book as a philosopher, writer, professional. I strongly argue that social psychology must be studied by professional who have to deal with human nature such as marketing, advertising, market research, journalists and in fact by everyone so that we could be more accepting and less critical of human beings. Elliot Aronson although is a professor but his language is very lucid. He tells theories of social psychology through interesting cases and anecdotes. All this seems to broaden one's perspective and knowledge.

The Kitchen Sink
I enjoy a bit of sociology and as a mid level manager hope that my reading in leadership and management has helped me be a better manager. However, this collection and style of writing is the best I have yet read. It covers all the studies I have been exposed to in other readings and yet peppered in is the author thoughts and examples from current events. I enjoyed the mix. I better understand myself and groups from this material and hopefully can be provide more positive interactions to others. Thank you for the book and the many revisions.

Great Psychology Textbook.
Good information, easy to read--not written like a traditional textbook. Much more like a non-fiction novel in terms of writing, which made it very palatable. That said, Aronson obviously has a political bias and uses this bias for many of his examples which I found quite irritating.

love it.
I read this book in fall 2014 for my social psych class, and i loved it. it's not a textbook, it's written like any other reading book that one *doesn't* purchase for school. it's easy to read, entertaining, straightforward. you don't have to be a psych major to understand or enjoy it [im not, i took it for general ed]. i bought it voluntarily in fall 2016, because i liked the book that much.

Simple and to the Point
Great book! I want to read it again, and this time take notes. I might read it again when I take a Social Psychology class, instead of just reading it for fun. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to gain self-knowledge. Social Psychology is all based on experiments, experiments in which regular people, just like you or me, do mostly the exact opposite of what you'd expect. The most interesting part for me was how people constantly try to justify what they say and do and what they see others say and do, with dire consequences for their able to question, think rationally, and be open-minded to other ideas than the ones they profess and believe.

Brilliant
Dr. Aronson is Brilliant. This book is amazing. It is insightful and HILLARIOUS at the same time. He is a great writer. I loved this book so much I even read the chapters that were assigned in class. I also bought his other book "mistakes were made, but not by me." Both are great for any psych students collection.
