Continental OE Technology Series 4030267 3-Rib, 26.7" Multi-V Belt

I purchased this along with 2 other Goodyear Gatorback belts. I had them installed by the dealer when they did my timing belt. At first they seemed fine (for a very short time), but then they started squealing (I believe as a result of the weather getting colder). I live in the Southeast where the temperatures are rather mild during the winter, so I found this completely unacceptable. They would squeal while the car was warming up and then for a short time after driving, then sometimes they would squeal again after 2 or 3 miles and I made a turn (power steering pump belt). The belts were very tight, so I was afraid to tighten the belts any more for fear that the bearings in the drive components could be damaged. The squealing had gotten so bad that it would hurt your ears if you were outside the car and it was completely embarrassing. I did purchase some belt conditioner at the local auto parts store and it did help immediately after the application; I had applied it 5 times before I decided to give up and buy new belts. I would give this product negative stars if I could because I had to buy replacement belts for these which had less than 3,000 miles on them (besides it being embarrassing, I was concerned that the belts would eventually fail do to the friction, glazing, and wear that occurred during the squealing). There is either an issue with the rubber compound in this product line or issues with the quality control measures and for that reason I will not buy these again.I purchased the next set of belts from the dealer and found the OEM for one belt was Gates and the other two belts were Bando; all of which can be found on Amazon at a much lower price than the dealer. So I would suggest doing some research on the OEM belt supplier and using them as my original belts were on for 156,000 miles with no squeals or problems of any kind other than they were cracking and needed to be replaced.

According to the Amazon Parts compatibility tool, this serpentine belt should fit a 2000 Ford Taurus with the 3.0 Liter OHV engine. I ordered this belt and when it arrived I was dismayed to find it is less than 1/3 the length of the original. Then I checked on the Goodyear Website and found that according to Goodyears info, the correct belt for a 2000 Ford Taurus with the 3.0 Liter OHV engine is the 4060855 Belt (which now it turns out the Amazon Site ALSO claims fits the 2000 Ford Taurus with the 3.0 Liter OHV engine. Hmmm... the 4030267 belt is one third the size of the 4060855 belt, but Amazon thinks they'll BOTH fit the SAME car?Come on Amazon people - you need to fix this glitch.Amazon did treat me right - I called Customer Service and they refunded the cost of this wrong belt and I don't even have to return it as the postage almost equals its value. I gave two stars to hopefully catch some people's attention so they don't go through the hassle I've gone through.

I purchased this belt to work on my 2000 Ford Taurus. Seemed to be well made and it has been on my car for a little over a year now. I just went out to look at it and it seems to be holding up well. No visual sign of problems. No cracks or blister.Great quality belt at a price less then my local car auto parts shops

I like the gatorback belts, but this one does not fit a 2004 Mazda 6 v6 3.0l. It is much too short. After 2004 Mazda made a separate belt for the water pump. It looks like that is what this belt is for.

I had to return this belt, because the web page indicates that it fits 2000 Ford Taurus, V6 engine. but the reality is this belt doesn't fit anything on the engine.

IT DOES NOT FIT FORD ESCAPE 2005 XLT V6 3.0 -- Misleading DecriptionOnly when my mechnic was attempting to install it did we figure that out.Don't waste you money if you are trying to replace your FORD ESCAPE 2005 XLT V6 3.0 or Mazda Tribute V6 3.0.Thank god my mechnic is an experienced one and did not cut the old one. Other wise my SUV will not be drivable ....My order already passed the return window and it become a piece of waster for me.

The website shows a longer belt, this is tiny. Disappointing as I now have to wait even longer for the right part, though not from this seller.
