Is it better to take it in tea form or grind it into powder for capsules?

I prefer tea, but you can also put it on capsules since its very bitter.

Anyone experience nightmares while drinking this tea ?

No I never herd of it. This is the greatest herb for any problems.

Is this the same as Chapparal bush or hediondilla?

Hello the Botanical Name is Larrea tridentata and Common Names: Creosate bush, greasewood not sure this answers your question, but hope it helps.

If you need a powder, would it be appropriate to just grind in a food processor?

Yes, a food processor will work. I use a coffee grinder , much easier to clean!
