Switched to the jute mat because my other mat would slide while I was using it. Also those regular mats would peel after much use; leaving bits of mat all over the floor and in my hair. NOT A PROBLEM with the jute! The top seems like it will be rough and uncomfortable BUT it ISN'T! Planks (walking or holding)on my elbows is just as comfortable as with a smoother mat. This is my second jute mat only because I wanted a different color. The purple is true to the picture shown.

It's comfortable and I don't have to worry about slipping, there is no smell to put you off.. This is the best yoga matt I have had.

I liked the fact that it’s non slip and a little thicker that most mats, also it’s Eco friendly made entirely of a natural material and no animal were used in its testing. The one problem is did have as the shock absorbency of any impact on my knees when I tried some give and take routines. But mostly a god value. I did love the Color.

This is such a nice yoga mat. It doesn't slide under me when I do my exercises, which is very important to me. I like that it is easy to carry, and easy to clean.
