Perfect for the gym
Reasons to buy this water bottle:- If you like cold water, this will keep it cold for at least 2 hours- It has a nice sipper and it isn't hard at all to drink water- Not too heavy, and easily carry-able (the handle piece is a good size and doesn't hurt)- Perfect for the gym (no spillage)I've gone through two of these and although I really like this bottle and will continue to buy it, it definitely degrades over time after a lot of use. Some good things to know are:- The straw bounce mechanism eventually breaks and so the mouth piece doesn't stay down. This can lead to some leakage through the mouth piece- The straw starts to fall from the cap, so you will go to drink water and only get air and have to open it to reattach the straw

Amazing
Background: I NEVER drink water. For some reason, I have a taste aversion to it. I actually had kidney stones in 6th grade due to dehydration. I recieved this bottle only 3 days ago, hoping it would help me drink more. I have drank about 64oz of water each day since! It keeps the water really cold and it's somehow pleasing to use the bite valve. I never thought I would be a water drinker...thank you, CamelBak!

Is it wrong to love your drinkbottle?
My favourite drink bottle, I'm addicted. As someone who struggles to drink enough water, this has changed everything. It didn't just look awesome (although I get asked where I got it all the time), but the mouthpiece is the best. A soft bite valve that prevents leaks, but is fun and easy to use as a straw. Throw a slice of lime, or cube of watermelon, or fresh ginger or a mint leaf in with some water and you'll meet your daily hydration requirements before you finish breakfast. I've even used this one with sparking water (because I love it) and unlike other similar products I've tried before, I don't end up spraying a fountain everywhere when I flip it open. If I had one wish, it would be that it was even bigger, but that only speaks to how much I love it. I don't often bother reviewing products, but this lil superstar deserved more praise than me simply talking to it on our morning walks together #NotAshamed.

It works!
Works great just as described. These are pretty expensive water bottle but they do work. We have the non insulated ones so wanted to try the insulated. Bought one, filled it with ice cubes, hiked all morning - ice cubes barely melted. It was just in the mid 70's that day.

This bottle helps water defy gravity!
This water bottle is fantastic! It holds water! Its double walled nature keeps my hands and tables condensation free! And the straw, man, the straw - get this - it bring water from the bottom of the water bottle.. wait for it... wait for it... to the top!IT'S DEFYING GRAVITY! (Or the suction from drinking creates a vacuum that exceeds the pull of gravity, I can't be sure, I'm no physicist.)Truthfully, this water bottle is super durable (I've dropped it. A. Lot.), easy to clean and the double walled bottle does keep icy drinks cold longer than a single walled variety. My only complaint is that if you fill the bottle from the bottom to the top with ice cubes and then fill it with water, the straw will sometimes come out as you try to work it in and break up the ice. Two fixes would be a less bendy straw and a deeper inset for the top of the straw. But despite that, IT HOLDS WATER, KEEPS IT COLD ON HOT DAYS AND DEFIES GRAVITY! :)

Amazing price. Lifelong purchase.
Love Camelbak, I only buy Camelbak water bottles and backpacks. This water bottle did not disappoint. It’s super cute a sparkly and keeps the water cold because it’s doubled insulated. Fits in the cup holder in the car. Hooks on to anything. Doesn’t ever spill. Easy to clean. Only put water in it. Great for all ages.

comfortable, durable, but sometimes leak...
I think CamelBak has TONS of great products and I have gone through MANY of their water bottles. They are constantly improving and working to keep up with their competition. With that said, I purchased two of these bottles (pink and purple - both of which were beautiful and my girls LOVED their colors!) but for some reason, they both periodically leaked. It wasn't all the time and I even replaced both of their plastic straw pieces thinking perhaps I got a bad batch but no luck... I ended up getting rid of both bottles. I will say that my kids dropped their bottles often and they NEVER broke, so they certainly should get all 5 stars for durability. They're also really easy to use, hold a lot of water, and are comfortable. I have confidence in CamelBak's team that they will no doubt improve their product. Nobody likes a leaking bottle, so unfortunately, these just didn't work for me this time!

Camelbak eddy is about a B-
I lost a great water bottle (not from Amazon) a few weeks ago and needed a replacement. Of course I went to Amazon to save time and money. So I picked the Camelbak Eddy because of the features and was similar to my other one (which I couldn't find on amazon) to replace) : Spill proof, insulated, push down straw , leak proof. The insulation from sweating doesn't last but a few hours in outside heat, last longer inside and it doesn't stay cold as my other one. I tried ice in the eddy in the freezer, then pour out the ice and add the water. Helps .The straw was tricky, now I've figured it out. there's a slit at the end. You need to use your teeth to sock on the straw to drink ,and also again after drinking so you don't have build up in the straw. Also if you use flavored water this will take the colored water back down from straw so it doesn't stain. The straw part is kind of weird. It is pretty and easy to clean using a skinny brush made for straws.

Pretty bottle but won’t keep drinks cold.
Well made camelbak quality. Very wide diameter straw- much larger than an average water bottle straw so a good flow. Beautiful colours. However, although this double-walled and advertised as insulated- it is not. I don’t think there can be a vacuum inside the double wall ascthis does not keep drinks cool at all. Cold drinks warm up pretty quickly to room temperature after a couple of hours, just the same as my normal, single walled camelbak bottle. A shame as this is the main reason I bought it- to keep my water cold at my work desk.It is totally leakproof and has a good quality bite-spout mechanism.I’ll keep it as it’s used now and looks nice but I wouldn’t buy again for keeping drinks cold. I think only a stainless steel vacuum double walled flask will do this properly.

Poor insulation, doesn't leak but has design flaws which make it seem to, no mould with proper use.
The positive:1. Very sturdy, convenient and attractive. The different colour of the inner and outer bottles gives a nice, two-tone, almost iridescent, appearance which has attracted attention and positive comments more than once.2. Lightweight due to plastic construction but still sturdy enough to survive drops and bangs.3. Easy to pull apart straw and mouthpiece for cleaning. The negative or middling:1. Insulation is poor. Not even close to a proper vacuum flask and realistically not even nearly as good as a cheap foam insulated bottle. I've actually got the un-insulated version as well and have done some side by side tests; there is a difference but not by a huge amount. Basically if you're looking for a water bottle to keep on your office desk then this will keep your water pleasantly cool for maybe an hour or so longer than the standard. If you're looking for something to keep your water for a whole day or during a hike in hot weather, though, then this won't cut it.2. There's a significant increase in size/decrease in capacity compared to the un-insulated version as well, which probably isn't worth it.3. It DOESN'T leak, but it can seem to due to poor design. The bite valve is pretty secure when in the open position unless knocked about by accident and COMPLETELY secure when folded down. However the lid has a weird overhang/gap between the outer edge and the seal which can collect water which will drop out in your bag. Nothing gets through there from INSIDE the bottle, but a surprising amount of water can collect between the edge of the lid and top of the bottle which can't be shaken or wiped off and which later dribbles out. You can avoid this if you make sure both the inside of the lid and the screw threads on the bottle are completely dry before you screw it up but that's hard if you're rinsing it out and impossible if you're filling it from anything other than a tap.Mould:The bite valve will go mouldy if not properly cleaned, but I wonder if people don't realise you can (and should) easily pull it off and rinse it fairly often. It is, as I understand, food grade silicon so you can literally boil it if it does get a bit gunged up.

Very Good
UPDATED REVIEW - 1 year laterPretty good bottle - sturdy, no dodgy taste (apart from slightly in the bite valve, which I have gotten used to). I've frozen water in the bottle, and it hardly condenses! No pool of water around the bottle, which is great. If I fill it with cold water, it does stay cold for a short while -- maybe for about an hour. The bottle itself is slightly larger than normal, and is a bit heavier too. I suppose this is the trade-off for its double-layered container. The stream of water is pretty good, although a touch on the slow side.Overall, the bottle hasn't caused me any problems over the year! I'm very pleased.

Keeps drinks cool for 5-6 hours plus
I'm really pleased with this bottle. It's not quite as effective as the metal ones on the market but it's much lighter and still keeps drinks cool. I have tried it a couple of ways today on this very hot day! Half filled with ice and topped up with tap water, it stayed cool in 31 degree heat for 5-6 hours. Half filled with ice and then topped up with refrigerated water, it stayed cold even longer. Really pleased with it.

looks good but doesnt insulate
This bottle looks lovely and has a nice water delivery system, I wanted a bottle where I could suck the liquid through the straw rather than tipping my head back. The water delivery system is fine, its hard to get a good glug of water when you're thirsty though. The bottle does a poor job of keeping the contents cold which I am quite disappointed about really. I had hoped the insulation would be better. As long as you make sure there isn't liquid in the little mouthpeice before you close it, it is leakproof.
