NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto EDG155.BG Mini-Me Automatic Coffee Machine Black & Arctic Grey by De’Longhi - Starter Kit

I brought my original machine when they were first came out in 2010/2011, unfortunately it stopped working last week after many years with a pump failure. The machine is easy to use and comes with a good selection of pods to try. Unfortunately the KitKat one that I was excited to try smelt amazing but was disappointing as the measure is small, would need 2 pods for a full cup and it had a slight burnt taste to it, the other pods are nice depending on personal preference on coffee and the non milk ones are easy to adapt with more water / milk. The updated version comes with a descaler reminder function and the pod to descale is good for using the machine to make a cup of tea instead of boiling a kettle as my previous one without a pod would miss the cup and drip tray.

Smart coffee machine, nice and compact which is great as we don't have a huge kitchen. Very easy to clean and a nice colour. The only downside is the tray for the cup is plastic and the cup slides when you're making your drink so you have to hold it still, which is a bit of a pain. This is our third coffee machine and we didn't have to do that with the previous models. Still it makes a lovely coffee or chocolate so very happy with it.

I bought this back in November during a deadline-heavy period and it's been well worth it! Great price considering the 6 boxes of pods that come with it, and incredibly easy to use - for the most part. The water tank at the back is sometimes tricky to take out, which can be a pain when rushing to get to work, but it's also much quicker and tastier than a mug of instant coffee! The machine is small, so fits very neatly in my uni kitchen, and you can get own-brand pods as well as the Dolce Gusto ones from most supermarkets. I'm sure that there are others out there that will produce a nicer tasting coffee, but if you're after cheap, quick, and cheerful then this does the job! Lastly, a couple of notes on the cleaning: I have had one of two pods burst in the machine before which has been a faff to clean, but still fairly easy as anywhere liquid may have gone is revealed when you take out the pod drawer. If you have larger hands though, getting into all of the nooks inside with a cloth may be a little tricky. And finally, the machine comes with a little filter which acts as a rinsing tool. There is no indication as to how frequently this should be used, but I'm sure common sense can aid you there!

First of all, for the cost, you get not only the machine but also six packs of assorted coffees which is a great starter kit. The coffees I had with mine were 2 x americano, 1 x flat white, 1 x latte macchiato, 1 x chococcino and 1 x cappuccino. However, the instructions received weren't in English and even though they had pictures, they weren't that easy to understand as I got it wrong initially. I didn't realise that you have to wait for the power light to turn green, instead, I'd hold it for a few seconds and then start it. Which would result in either cold coffee or the lever not working. At first, I thought it was faulty. I later on figured out that maybe I was doing it wrong so I tried other things. Leaving the light to turn green, make sure there's enough water in the container, select your pod, go by the level indicated on the individual pod as to the level of water the machine will dispense. Although I prefer to think of this level as a guide, and you can of course add more or less water as you like, just by adjusting the level. Once I got the hang of it, it's the easiest and quickest coffee maker I've had so far, and makes lovely coffees. Great purchase.

Our first coffee maker. It’s good, makes nice coffee, simple to use once you find out how. The instructions are useless, no help at all. Fortunately our daughter has the same machine, so she helped us. Overall a good buy.

I actually had an old dolce gusto coffee machine, but this came up on amazon, for such a good price, that I decided to replace mine for a shiny new one. Complete with several coffee pods, which although I didn't particularly like the ones supplied, my family very much do.

A lovely wee kitchen gadget to have, we also use one in our guest house ! Easy to use and easy to keep clean, it all comes apart for cleaning and is easy to fit together again. There is some noise but no more than boiling a kettle. The sky's the limit when it comes to hot drinks and guest love it ! The colour blends in nicely being neutral and it looks great in the corner of our work tops. It has a good capacity and only needs filling after 4 or 5 drinks. There are no unpleasant smells and there are no spills. It's clean, neat and tidy and makes lovely drinks for us and our guests.

I’ve always wondered why these machines don’t come with a low-water indicator—would’ve been a handy feature! 😊 🔆Overall🔆 It’s a fantastic little coffee machine that does the job well, and we’re very happy with the purchase. Got it on prime days offer. Value for money and top quality machine. Very recommended for household. And there is always offers on coffee capsules so very practical

The coffee capsules were missing, the movable shelf where you put the cup was missing and the electrical plug was not EU standard. It was maybe UK? It was a used one, I think, but this was anyway a total failure!

Brillant new model coffee machine working perfectly! However, the pods that came with it are out of date on the 30th October 2024?! There's 6 boxes of coffee, which was a brillant deal to get but not when the coffee expires within 2 weeks?!
