Well made and has a cloth covered cable.I bought it for my Akaso Brave 7 LE so I had to use the additional micro usb cable and the connect the USB C microphone to it. A simple test gave a superior sound recording when compared to the built in microphone.Remember to select the External Microphone option from the camera menu and then to put the setting back afterwards.I have quite a few accessories from a previous Action Camera so I should be able to put a together a small frame to clip the microphone onto alongside the action camera and support it all on a small tripod.

Akaso ex 7000 pro. Improved the audio a fair bit. I'd say 30% louder, if not more, but a whole lot crisper and clarity is improved a hell of a lot.This also works on my Wolfgang G200, excellent, as woolfang say you can only use their microphone 🎤.Nice long braided cable, windproof cover, which works to a degree. For a tenner, it's a no brainer

Model-specific add-on gets over the terrible wind noise of the internal microphone. Does, however, prevent placing the camera in its weatherproof case. Decent enough wind cancellation, although the sound level is probably a little low (fix when editing recordings)

These are not general microphones, they are just for interview style filming. But they are adequate at that.

Terrible quality and build. Equivalent to a mic from the Pound Shop. Akaso forces you to buy this terrible product if you want to attach a mic to there camera.

Seems to be a load of miss-information around regarding external mics and Akaso action cameras. To confirm - this works fine on an Akaso Ek7000 Pro using the micro USB port and enabling external mic in the options. The lead isn't very long - maybe just over a meter. Sound quality is improved but not excellent for voice. I just wanted it to record exhaust noise from a camera externally mounted to a car and suspect it will be perfect for this.

One of my friends used it recently on a hike and I loved the quality of the video so much I bought one for myself! It's great for the price range, accessories are plenty and set up is super easy. You do need a separate micro sd card as well as separate microphone to record sound, but as long as you know and get them at the same time there's no hassle with it all.
