I bought this and also one that claimed to be military design.This wins hands down!The wire casing has some give to it so your not pulling and breaking the wires. It gathers up nicely. It's durable. So far my absolute favorite charging cord.The only negative is that I think the 4 ft cord is too short for me.This is a cord that is worthy enough to give as a gift.

This charger is strong. The first several times I would plug my phone in, it was almost difficult to unplug it. It wears down in time so it's not so difficult. I prefer this ober the other three Chargers I had purchased before this 1. The other three right out of the package had to be held on an angle or else it wouldn't charge.

I purchased 2 of these cables slightly over a year ago. I bought them for their advertised durability. One of them started a fire while I was charging my phone. Thank goodness I was sitting right next to my phone when this happened. The flames were about 8 inches high. After I put the fire out I checked the cord and noticed exposed wires where there were little breaks in the metal wrapping. I didn't think this would have happened with this type of cord. I don't know how these breaks occured, but this is a precautionary review. CHECK ALL YOUR CHARGING CORDS FOR BREAKS AND WIRE EXPOSURE.

This mostly solved my issue since our new pup loves to chew phone charging cables. The USB-C end is not able to stand up to the chewing at all and bent at the connection to the housing and almost broke off. If that can be worked out, then this is a keeper long term.
