my 3 yr. old loves it!
Nicely written and wonderfully illustrated. The colorful cover makes it pop on our bookshelf and it's been read several times over. We like the whole series.

Perfectly executed!
Ravi, youngest and by extension, the smallest member of his family, is getting frustrated. He's too short to reach stuff, he's losing races and he doesn't know how to cope with his emotions. Finally, Ravi allows the rage to consume him and turns into a tiger!Ravi's Roar is a wonderful use of zoomorphism and can show kids, in a fun way, the effects of allowing one's rage to go wild. I love the diversity in all Percival's books. I also love the themes, this one being rage- quite apt as my son has officially entered the "terrible twos"....Hello tantrums *cringe*As with Perfectly Norman, the use of colour and fonts perfectly portray the sentiment of the story!

A Charming Treat
A new book from Tom Percival! Always a treat! My son thinks angry people are hysterical so he laughed and laughed and laughed his way through this book. I'm sure he picked up a few tips on how to navigate his own anger, but largely he had a good time.Personally, I love Biscuits, the dog with colon issues who has a harder time finding kids playing hide and seek than Ravi does. As always, there are hidden gems in the artwork that reveal themselves with repeated perusal. This is a gentle book that made me think of Mr. Rogers. I believe he would approve - of both Ravi and Tom Percival.

Must have for parents!
This book is exceptional. I got this for my 3 year old. We read it and loved the story and illustrations. Well a few months later he had a full on meltdown. After he calmed down. I explained to him that he turned into the tiger because he was so upset. Anyway he hasn’t had a meltdown like that since. I believe this book is a great tool to teach children about emotions.

Great Book about Feelings
Kids are filled with so many emotions and sometimes those big feelings are hard to manage. One of my favorite ways to help kids name and work through their feelings is with a good book. Tom Percival has worked his magic once again in his latest book, Ravi’s Roar. This book does a great job of identifying what anger and frustration can feel like for kids. It would be a great way to start a conversation with kids about strategies for working through these big feelings.

Fantastic PSED books
Tom Perceval, has written some fantastic PSED books covering a range of emotions and situations that young children may experience in their lives. It's so great to have such books that deal with these issues in such a beautiful way, that children are able to connect with and relate too! I am so pleased that Tom has used characters from a range of backgrounds as the main characters, this is so refreshing and much needed. Thank you Tom, you have supported self worth and self-identity for all children, which is so important! My favourites include Ruby's Worry, Meesha makes Friends, Perfectly Norman and of course Ravi's Roar! I love, love, these books and read them to the children at school and have recommended them to the parents too.

Excellent book!
Sons (2 & 4) absolutely love this book, the illustrations are beautiful and it’s definitely helped them talk about their emotions more. They love Ravi turning into a tiger, the farting dog and the ending with the sandcastles.

Great story
This is from a range of books which addresses big feelings in children. I'm not sure my son understood the underlying message but he loves the story.

Helpful book on managing emotions
I love this book. My toddler loved this book. It allowed them to understand the things I said about how hitting and yelling wasn't kind by seeing how others didn't want to play with Ravi when he wasn't kind.
