Alexis and Kieran continue to be a red hot read!
I wasn't sure where the author was going to go with Book 4 after Sin and Salvation tied up a few loose ends but I'm happy to say that a whole new set of delicious intrigue has presented itself in this fantastic series. If you haven't read the previous three books, be warned as there will be slight spoilers below (and if you haven't, what are you waiting for???). I'll also note that you really need to as these aren't standalones even though some of the background is repeated as it's been a short while between books. Book 3 left us with Magnus pondering about Lexi and Sin and Spirit cranks things up in the action stakes as enemies come at Lexi and Kieran from all angles.Lexi's secret of being a Spirit Walker is well and truly out, spelling trouble and disrupting any plans she had to continue life harmoniously. Life as the resident Demigod's girlfriend shoves her unwillingly into the spotlight where every facet of her life is judged and put on display and Lexi finds it difficult to juggle post-Valens life with her rapid rise in society. Knowing that her rare magic is highly sought after and that the life and fate of previous Spirit Walkers bordered on slavery, Alexis is forced to go to extreme measures to find someone qualified enough to train her. Crossing over into the spirit realm, she's able to track down the best candidate but can he and his unorthodox methods be trusted? Add to that, the Hades Demigods are hatching their own nefarious plans to capture Lexi and use her/possibly kill her, putting her life and the lives of those she loves in great danger. The team is literally under attack and the added danger made an excellent read as things weren't always rosy. This book had a bit of everything - suspense, action, magic, humour, romance and steam. Breene has assembled such a great cast of characters, I feel as though I'm catching up with old friends every time a new book comes out. Be warned though: there are some heartbreaking moments in this book compared to the previous ones as those around Lexi are in harm's way and tragedy strikes when you least expect it. As usual, the book had this author's special brand of humour and sarcasm - thank goodness, because this is always a highlight. While you might expect some of the over-the-top sassiness and strong personalities that some characters have begin to grate, they actually don't. A couple of new characters are introduced and the usual suspects of The Six as well as Dairy and Mordecai continue to be an absolute delight to read. Be warned though, there's a bit of angst in this book but I felt it added another dimension to the story. There's also a cat that's bordering on pure evil and adds great humour that I really enjoyed (especially being on team cat like I am). Go figure. As for our favourite couple? Honestly, I love Lexi. She's such a great balance of vulnerability, naivety and second guessing herself while also having great inner strength and determination. It sounds like her characteristics contradict themselves but they just work. I love how Breene has taken the reader on Lexi's journey with her as she struggles to learn and master her particular brand of magic while trying to keep those she loves safe and live a relatively 'normal' life. That's she's sometimes unsure of herself and highly conscious of what she perceives as personal faults and weaknesses makes her so real and relatable and it's one of my favourite elements of this series. As for Kieran? Holy moly, he just gets dreamier every book. I hate describing guys as dreamy but he's just so wonderful to read about. And for those that chase books on possessive alphas? You have one here in spades that manages not to be a toe rag. There's a good amount of steam firing up the pages as well as a bit of cheeky dirty talk from Kieran who's set some kind of goal to be one of the best book boyfriends ever. We're given a bit of the story from Daisy's and Magnus's point of view as well, which I really enjoyed. While I was hoping for the Demigod summit to take place or for Lexi to meet daddy dearest, it hasn't happened yet which means there's heaps of fireworks still to come. A note to Breene though - Lexi better get over her dislike of cats. You do NOT want an angry clowder of cat lovers getting up in your face.Overall, this was another pearler of a read. Unlike the other books, there were a few moments where I found myself feeling really sad but it was once again great to be with Lexi as she learns more about her powers and as her relationship with Kieran continues to strengthen. As with all of Breene's series, I find they end on a bitter sweet note because while I adore reading them, it absolutely kills me waiting for the next one. I already can't wait for Sin and Lightning. Sigh.

This one by far the best one
It had everything, suspense, action, emotional conflict, humor, you name it, this delivered. Out of the 4 books I’ve read so far in this series, this one has been, by far, the beat one.

This is a FANTASTIC book series with a TERRIBLE choice if titling. Not sure where they came up with the names of these books. I concede that they are catchy, but honestly, I scoffed at it and would have missed out on an excellent series if I had merely gone by the titles.Breene is an expert character builder and story weaver. These books are out of my normal reading realm, and I was constantly enthralled by the twists and turns of the stories. (The well written sex scenes didn’t hurt, but she doesn’t allow them to drag the book into smut…not that that is a bad thing, just not what I was looking for.) :-)The story lines are paranormal, but heavy on normal, with lively banter between characters and inner monologues that connect the reader to them. I’m currently on book 5, and I’m sad I only have 1 to go.That being said, this one had me both crying like a baby and laughing out loud. What a gutwrencher. If you are like me and pictured a mushy, silly read, push through and give it a try.

Fantastic!!!
I'm just in love with K. F. Breene's "Demigods of San Francisco" series! She hooks you in from the very first book and doesn't let you go until you've read the very last page of the very last book! Her character development is off the hook! The way she places layer upon layer on not only her main characters, but also her secondary characters as well. You become entwined within their lives with every flip of the page. You become invested, your heart beating faster her writings pull you in to her world.K.F. Breene is an excellent writer, and I recommend this series of books and many others that are written by her!!

Best of the series…so far.
I started this series after finishing what’s available so far of another K.F. Breeze series that I LOVED. The first book was good, but didn’t have the quite same feel. Each book has progressively pulled me in more. Now at book 4, I found what I was hoping for. This one is the best so far, it made me laugh out loud, cry, and hold my breath like the other series. There were a few things I hated because they were too sad, but I loved that last chapter! I can’t wait to read the next the book.

K.F.Greene rocks!
I never thought that I would enjoy reading fantasy until now. This author has a skill with story telling like no other. Characters are so likeable and their emotions and humor keep you enthralled. You cannot put her books down for long. This author will transport you away each time you pick up her books.Always a 5 star read!

The battle rages on
Someone wants Alexis. Her special magic would make any Demigod unstoppable. Alexis, Kieran, and the gang have to call on everything they know (and don't know) to keep them all safe and together. Their plan worked almost perfectly.Sometimes the settings of the scenes isn't really clear. I know the author tries to show us the picture in her mind but the degrees of success varies. The storyline is excellent though. On to Book 5!

Hold On To Your Hats, Shocks Are In Store!!😱💥😭
A 4.5 Star Read 🌟Sin & Spirit (Demigod of San Francisco #4)We are happily back with Alexis, Kieran & Co in the exciting Demigods World!!🎉Mordecai & Daisy are still training hard with the Six.🙈😄 Kieran is trying to get his Territory under his control in a way he's happy with. Alexis is doing her bit, quietly.😉 She still needs much more training in her Spirit Walker magic though, Bria has taught her all she can so now they need her perfect teacher!😳🙈 Will the other Hades Heirs & Demigods come after her? Will her Father hear about her & guess she's his & come to kill her?😢 Can Kieran cement his place with the rest of the Demigods?😲I do so love this cast of characters!😍 The family that they've all become is just heart warming, but some how still weird, snarky & sometimes awkward.😂💕 Alexis & Bria together, although complete opposites, just click & work perfectly together in the storyline as well as being friends.👍 The teenage sibling angst is spot.😉😂 The relationship between Alexis & Kieran continues to melt my heart.💘🔥💘For some reason I didn't fall in love with book #4 like I did with the others. It was still good, definitely worth my money & reading time, obviously, but it felt a bit distant somehow!? That might be my headspace & not the book though!!😕 But having said that there are some truly heart stopping & heart hurting parts in this book that shook me to my core!!💔😭💥Thankfully on an Audible 🎧 reread, I discovered it was definitely my headspace at the time of my first read. I was completely swept up within the drama, family, friendships & machinations that were occurring!🌟 (Edited: 25.02.2021)Debbie, 1970, UK

Good but not quite up there with the others
I enjoyed this, such great characters, Kieran is v sexy etc etc, but I found myself skip reading bits, and at the end felt dissatisfied. Trying to put my finger on why, I think it’s that Alexis finishes the book as she started it, just a tiny bit more knowledgeable / better dressed. It was lacking the sense of journey / surprise that the other books had and felt a bit like filler to keep us busy while waiting for the real story to turn up in later books.I also really struggle with Alexis’ hands off approach to Daisy. We’re told over and over again that Daisy is like a daughter to her. Yet, Alexis feels no need to monitor/supervise the violent training Zorn gives to Daisy, or question whether being an assassin is a horrible career aim for a 14yr old (although we’re told over and over that Alexis would never allow herself to become an assassin, apparently it’s just fine for Zorn to train Daisy as one without any invitation). Why is Zorn allowed to stab and strangle Daisy as part of her training? Why doesn’t someone as apparently strong and streetwise as Alexis have any kind of grip over Daisy’s life or a sense of when things have gone far enough? Alexis seems completely disinterested in the whole process which felt unrealistic.Rereading book 1 today and it’s just in a different league.

Fantastic
I’m a huge fan of K. F. Breene and so it probably comes as no surprise that I loved ‘Sin and Spirit.’ I swear this series just gets better and better. I’ve yet to read a bad novel by Breene and am already looking forward to book five. When it comes to Breene’s writing, I’m enthralled from the first page to the last.Lexi still has a way to go with learning her powers and we get to watch as she tries to expand her skills and knowledge. She’ll need every advantage she can get, in order to learn enough to stay alive, now that the Hades demigods are after her. She and the gang will have to pull together once again, if they wish to survive the latest threat against them. So, four books in, I’m firmly attached to many of the characters, which made this one particularly heart wrenching to read. So much happens. I’m not going to give any spoilers but I will say that you need to prepare yourself for one hell of a ride. One threat is overt, the other, they will not see coming. We get a few chapters from Magnus’ point of view and what we learn. Damn. I can’t wait for Lexi to learn it all. I’m also more in love with Kieran than ever, after everything he does this go around. There is a moment or two where I could happily put him in the doghouse but he more than redeems himself. With unique parenting issues, public scrutiny and a killer spirit that probably can’t be trusted, Lexi and the gang are in for a rough ride. So, go. Read. Laugh. Cry. But above all, enjoy!

Amazing. Totally amazing.
Sometimes you just don't know whether you want to hug an author or punch them! Not only does K.F. Breene crow bar a humongous amount of plot, funnies, smexy time, action and adventure into this book, she also throws a huge side serving of heart break into it too. It's one of those books that you shouldn't start reading just before bedtime, because there is NO WAY you will be able to put it down after only reading a few chapters. No sir-ee, once started this book will sink it's claws into you so deeply that you won't want to put it back down until you have read and savoured every single word.Kieran, Alexis, Daisy, Mordecai and all the other amazing characters that inhabit this world, both real and spirit based are all absolutely amazing. There are so many different people and each one has their own distinct and unique voice in the book. Some are likeable, others immensely loveable, whilst a handful are vile and despicable beings but they all have depth and personality by the bucket full.I never know where the story will take me, I never even begin to suspect what surprised are in store and what curve balls will be thrown in my direction. I do know that I will love every moment of it, even when I hate what is happening, even when my emotions are being stomped on, because the writing is so fantastic and the story so amazing that I can't help myself.I can't wait for Sin & Lightning, I've already got it on pre-order.

hell in razor-heels
You'd think after all the drama of Sin & Salvation Kieran & Lexi would deserve some peace & quiet , sadly others have different idea's & while the little family are more than capable of defending themselves nothing comes without a cost & the price is almost too much to bear , grab your hankies because you will need them & maybe a hug too . The upside is Lexi is a strong woman & so is her ward Daisy , my favourite lines in the entire book surround that awesome girl who has taken what life has thrown at her & kicked life in the face for throwing it , describing Daisy as a monster in a dolls skin was an understatement but " hell in razor-spiked heels " sums her up perfectly, the people who got their hands on her by mistake will definitely rue the day .
