I like this as it cuts the tin and doesn't leave a sharpe edge to cut yourself on. And easy for a left hander too.

On arrival I was impressed with the look of this but had to wait about three days to open a can as we eat more fresh food. Finally the day arrived. I had read reviews where people had said they needed instructions, what? You certainly do not, it is simple to use if you've ever used a can opener. I put it on and began to turn a pretty large wing nut style handle. It has to be the smoothest opener I've ever come across and believe me I buy lots. There is no slipping, no missing, no jagged cut or any other problem. It cuts all the way round quicker than you'd expect, and easier. Once its gone right round you can tell it has as there's the slightest change in the feel as you turn. I took it off the can and although there's a magnet to lift the lid, so far mine hadn't taken the lid off with it after about 4 cans, but its no problem to lift the lid. If you choose you are able to put the top back on after opening as it leaves a tiny lip which fits nicely back on without it dropping in the can or sliding off. Both the can and lid are fairly smooth. My wife said you could cut yourself if you wanted to but it wouldn't be easy as its mostly smooth so you'd have to rub your finger against it to do so. I was impressed that it is also a beer bottle opener, and will also release the vacuum in a jar enabling you to remove the lid without using any force. The oddest thing I found was when not on a tin the handle will turn and turn without the blades touching, yet put it on a tin and it somehow locks as you turn the handle until it's cut then it releases. You don't have to squeeze anything to lock it on like most openers. I put my fingernail against the blade to see the action of it going to lock yet I still don't understand how? Amazing and really impressive.I can't recommend this highly enough. I bought 3 different types of can opener in a couple of days so have spent a lot when we only need one, but am very seriously thinking of buying another of these in case it ever breaks down which I doubt.

I puchased this on the 7th December 2019 and it's now stopped working 10 months later. I had hoped it would last somewhat longer but Hey Ho. It worked really well in its prime with a good clean cut. With that in mind I have purchased the same model but the original one "doesn't cut it" now I'm afraid.

This is a ridiculous amount to spend on a can opener - or is it? As someone who has had five stitches put in her index finger after cutting it on a can, I can say that it is a bargain. Why? Because when you open a can with it, which is, by the way, ridiculously easy, the whole top lifts off with no nasty jagged edges. Of course there may be exceptions, but I ran my finger around both the can and the removed lid (and repeated the process on a second can because I am a sucker for punishment) and couldn't find a sharp bit. Then, because I was so thrilled, I got my partner to do the same! No sharp bits anywhere. Oh, and it opens bottles too, provided you read the instructions and use it properly (note to my partner). I am so impressed that I am going to buy another for my son to take to Uni. AND, as a family of left-handers, a great advantage is that it can be used left or right-handed.

product is ok but not much easier than my normal tin opener. Disappointing. Also seems strange that it advises not to wash item?

Well as strange as it looks it really is easy and sharp to use and the added feature of it making a lid to sit inside the tin keeping food fresh in the fridge saves searching for my old tin caps,it also eases the cramping you get holding the two arms together while it spins since you just need to pur pressure on the handle on top so no more twisting your arms!

Facilissimo da usare, non lascia parti taglienti ai bordi dei barattoli. Mio figlio lo usa per la sua attività (pizzeria), quindi apre moltissimi barattoli. Unico difetto: non è eterno.

Viele Jahre suche ich schon nach einem funktionierenden Dosenöffner. Jetzt habe ich ihn endlich gefunden.Man setzt ihn an der Dose an, dreht und er geht. Der Deckel wird sauber, ohne scharfe Kanten, abgetrennt. Ohne Verletzungsgefahr! Wie gesagt, genial!

Commander en soirée hier je reçois ma commande ( qui devait être pour quelque jours plus tard) ) le lendemain, que dire à part ÇA C'EST DU RAPIDE 😁 .Pour les bonbons, p'tite tablette genre protéine , pour chien mon chien en rafolle un p'tit carré et la voilà toute contente.Pour ce qui concerne l'ouvre boîte Wouaaa la première fois que j'ai un ouvre boîte sécurité pour que ça ne Coupe pas et franchement.Il et juste parfait très facile d'utilisation sans forcé la conserve s'ouvre toute simplement sans gros effort et voilà qu'on récupére la partie du dessus couvercle sans coupant pareil pour la boîte.C'est tellement couper net sans bord tranchant de nul part que je compte bien gardé quelque conserve avec le couvercle pour y rangé quelque bricole pille ou autre petite chose 😁😁Enfin tous ça pour dire cette ouvre boîte et parfait n'hesitez pas à vous le procuré vous ne serez vraiment pas déçu que ca soit niveau prix , de ça qualité et simplicité 😄

Ottimo prodotto. Apri facilmente le scatolette senza lasciare spigoli taglienti. Apre anche perfettamente le lattine di birra o altro con cui faccio dei portamatite. Lo consiglio vivamente. L'apriscatole arriva in una bella scatolina blu. Sono soddisfatta . Grazie al Venditore e ,naturalmente, Amazon.
