Hard to find
I've been looking for this to make custom made belts in coordination with my outfits. This is exactly what I needed. Complete set.

Cheap buckle
I've been sewing all my life & have used covered belt kits when I was young that worked wonderfully, so I know what quality is. At that time, buckles were made of steel. This buckle is made of really thin aluminum that you can actually bend with your hands. When attempting to use a heavier fabric, it quickly becomes distorted. In addition, the back will not stay in place (even after gently tapping it in with a hammer). If you are using thin fabric & you handle very gently, you MIGHT might be ok - if you can get the back to stay in. Otherwise, forget it. Another thing I disliked was the complete lack of instructions for the eyelets, type of eyelet tool, etc. No more Maxant purchases for me.

Flimsy metal
As other reviewers have said, the metal is thin and bends VERY easily. I wanted to cover with black wool to go with a vintage dress I made. The only fabric that will work is going to be a thin and light weight. I am a very accomplished sewer and am being honest with this review. The directions on the back for sewing the fabric are a bit unclear. Basically you will need to sew a tube to insert the belting into. There are a few videos online that help clear that up.

belting kit for covered belts
I had a hard time finding the kit in 2". I used it for several dresses I've made and am going to make. I hope you continue to make a variety of sizes available

Must have and hard to find for costume belts
Just like the ones sold in the 50s and 60s, perfect for making fabric covered belts.
