CONTINUAL VERY LIMITED LIFE
I have a dual bathroom fixture that only accept this exact type of replacement bulb. Over the course of the last five years, I continually have to replace a bulb every three months on average despite the very limited use in the second bathroom. They work initially, then after a short period of time, they sporadically one-at-a-time dim and grow brighter then become visibly blown in 1 or 2 of the bulb elements, requiring replacement. I have replaced these bulbs individually thus far at least ten times. I just found out that Menards sells their own brand, "FEIT Electric," of this same type bulb for LESS money and the two that I swapped out with the FEIT brand have already lasted 5x as long as every "Phillips" brand bulb with no signs of dimming or replacing necessary. I suggest avoiding the Phillips brand as they are proven unreliable over and over and the Menards store brand operate with the expected complete bulb life satisfaction as expected. I learned the hard way through experience; save yourself the hassle and don't use Phillips brand as they are proven unreliable. Note that other review also indicate the same results. And...Menards/FEIT brand are initially notably less expensive and after the rebate are even more of a bargain...AND THEY WORK BETTER!

Amazon made it easy
I had bought a replacement fluorescent bulb for our hallway light sconce at our local hardware store. They offered a selection of ONE type. It was the closest match to the one I was replacing so I bought it. Got it home and ... NOTHING. Wouldn't turn on. Checked the fixture and it was working fine. Found the EXACT model bulb I was replacing, Philips Lighting 38337-2 - PL-C 26W/841/4P/ALTO - 26 Watt CFL Light Bulb, that featured next day delivery from Amazon. Got it the next day, plugged it in and we have light! AAA+++
