Having used both the hedgehog and the grates to cover gutters, which cost considerably more and are not as efficient as this product. If you have researched The above products you will already know the considerable cost of the above two items. Purchase this product and you will not be disappointed, you will also have a lot of money left in your pocket. I have an extensive length of gutters around a large property under three very mature 150-year-old protected trees (Oak lime and beach). Longevity shouldn’t be a problem as the material will last, the leaves will still land on the gutters, but the breeze very swiftly blows them away again. No cleaning required unlike the hedgehogs that get messy mouldy and mossy. Finally the clips provided to the job, and there are plenty of them. You may like me, depending on your property, need to snip 1 inch of the end of each hook for a better fit (mainly if you have a new build or a new roof as building regs requires roof protection to come down lower, meaning the clips may be slightly too long), this is easy to resolve, just have a pair of scissors in your pocket as you go round. There are various ways of lay this mash, some have suggested the mesh needs cutting, it doesn’t, I suggest folding it slightly to create an upsidedown shallow U shape rather than lay it flat. The clips will push down the U shape very slightly, however the slight ‘bulge’ in the mesh adds even further protection from leaves sitting on there until the wind blows them off. This product does work, don’t waste your money on more expensive products

Slightly thinner/lighter than expected but it should do the job. Easy to cut with normal scissors but the clips aren't much cop, at least not on my plastic gutters which are classic profile. I found it easier and more positive to carefully tuck the inside edge under the roof tiles and to utilise the in situ gutter clips to hold it firmly in place as the supplied clips had a tendency to occasionally snap and also not stay put. I do have a mega problem with leaf fall and normally I have to get the ladders out at least 3 or 4 times a week to clear the gutters. I have tried the gutter brush method as well, on one section, which is easier to install but much more expensive.All of the above is with regard to a bungalow so access was fairly easy - on a house it might be a different matter.

Decent mesh, however on my half round gutter the clips are very loose and barely hold it on.

I particularly like that I can use (and still purchase) replacement clips and mesh even years after first purchase, and I wanted to do so as this solution works best for our modest gutter. Very strong winds always manage to dislodge some of the mesh and clips break, becoming brittle after a couple of years, but they are all so cheap, very effective at reducing gutter clogging and are flexible, easy to fit and replace, even for a grudging DIYer. Other solutions tried have been ineffective, expensive or don't fit my simple UK plastic gutter.

Easy to install

The media could not be loaded. Good value, but an awful job to fit on my gutters, where I had to try and push the mesh under the tiles to try and secure it in place. Really, two people on two ladders would have made the job a lot easier, but there was only me….the hardest bit was up and down the ladder loads of times, and that was after I’d found what I thought was the best/easiest way to fit the mesh and supports. All the mesh and supports seem to have weathered the winds ok though, and hopefully, as I can’t see on top of the mesh, it’s keeping the moss from falling in and blocking the gutters. So, working well so far, but I wouldn’t like to do it again solo.
