OtterBox Commuter Case for LG G4 - Frustration-Free Packaging - Sleet Grey/Dark Deep Water Blue

Once again, Otterbox does not disappoint. The soft inner layer and hard outer shell of this case are fairly easy for me to remove and reinstall, provide what seems to be reasonably solid protection (I am hard on my phone), does not add quite as much bulk as the 'Defender' case does but I feel it provides good enough protection for what I do with it. The hard part of the case is smooth so that going in and out of my pocket is quite easy but the rubber inner sleeve provides enough of a non-slick surface that the phone is still manageable once it is in my hand.My case did come with a screen protector that I could have stuck to the screen but I have yet to actually install it so I cannot give any perspective on the screen protector aspect.There are plenty of slimmer cases out there but I am okay compromising a little bit on size of my phone to have the added protection that this case provides. Phones now a days are already way bigger than I want [frankly, I miss my flip phone....] but it is where we are and I do not want to have to spend 500+ to replace a phone because I am sometimes clumsy!

I got a new one and didn't want to go through the multiple broken screen and replacements I had with my old one. I would get slim cases but over time the corners would break, as they re designed to do on impact. I wanted something thicker but never really like the Otterbox cases as they were overly large. I looked around and found this one, it appeared to be medium in size, not too large, and the color scheme isn't for kids or females.It was a brand new case from Otterbox in their retail packaging, which I give an A+ just for that. the price was also out of the park, given its an older phone, the case price was reduced. The case went on easy and gave the very slim phone some size and weight to it. I can hold it without fearing I'm going to slip out of my hand. The only problem I have with it, and its me not the case. Is that the USB and 3.5mm port have covers on them. With a new case they are very thin and I have very small finger nails. A+ on the case part as they are think and does it job as designed, no fault to the case. I'm perfectly content with this phone and it still fits in the front or back pocket of my jeans. I just try not to sit down with it in my pocket as I would do with any device.

Fits my LG G4 perfectly, much easier to take off than my old case (the old case ripped the back of the phone off with it every time) so switching batteries out is not too bad. Very comfortable to hold and not too thick at all to fit in a pocket. Fits perfectly with a tempered glass screen protector. It did not come with the screen protector the description said it would but I'd never use it anyway. Two weeks after having the case though, my phone had gotten the inevitable boot loop so I passed the case on to my husband for his leather back LG G4 and it fits that perfectly as well. Never had an otter box before due to the usual high price of them but this one was worth it.

I have the leather back and it fits perfectly. There are little flaps that cover the charger and audio back which is helpful. It is a little bulky but that just adds to it's protection.I've dropped my phone off a table and out of my hand and no cracks :)*4months later, still looks great. My phone has survived multiple falls and throws

Like the case a lot, a little non traditional in that it comes in 2 pieces, but it being in 2 pieces really makes it easy to put on and take off. It also doesn't lose the filling of protection and sleekness in my pocket.

I have had this case for months and love it. It offers substantial protection for my phone which typically resides in my pocket or within reach of my three daughters. I have had no damage to my phone or the case. The only possible negative was that it took several days to 'loosen' the port covers in order to access the charging / headphone ports. I am confident that these ports are well protected when the flaps are closed. Great color, great protection, great case.

The protection conferred by an OtterBox case provides peace of mind, but this one goes much further. I found that the square corners and thin outer edge of the bare G4 made it really uncomfortable to hold. This case makes for a much better feel in the hand, with rounded corners and back. The screen edge is protected by the rubber lip without limiting touch access around the edges. This also keeps it from sliding across a surface when face down. Still slips in and out of my pockets with ease. It fits perfectly and the controls and ports are easy to access. The case also dramatically enhanced the appearance of my phone. Worth every penny of what it cost.

True to its brand, its durable and thick. It comes with a screen protector but I wish it was a tempered glass, so I don't know how it will stand against drops face down. Also, the port covers are too tough to lift off the ports, it's more cumbersome to work with them than do without them. I still like Sahara cases best, but they do not have cases for LG at this point, as far as I know.
