The Well : David's Story (Logan Family Saga, 2)

Mildred Taylor's books are very special to me! And The Well probably is my favorite! My grandkids recently borrowed my copy of The Well, and I was afraid I might never see it again. I highly recommended it to them and hope they enjoy it, too. But I couldn't risk being with a copy to read, so just ordered another for myself at a great price!

I was expecting more but it was still good. I just wanted more to the story the memories of David.

A great story and one that continues to establish Ms. Taylor as an accurate historian and storyteller for this era. Her characters are well-developed, sometimes complex, but all with qualities that everyone can identify with. I highly recommend her books, especially for children or adults who are not familiar with this era in African-American history.

I had been looking for this book for many many years. Now I finally found it! I read this story when I was a child and it touched my heart deeply. Based on a true story, a must read! This is a series. Thank you to the sender for sending the book in a timely manner!

Great story. I wish there was a longer version.

I purchased this book for my grown daughter who started out reading "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry" when she was 12. She says she don't remember reading "The Well".

My son has read this book twice already and he is typically not one to pull out a book to read. I remember reading books by this author when I was a child. Very good stories.

Book did not even look used.Purchase was for teaching a student.

Loved this book. I think the author has done another wonderful book number 2. I recommend anybody what's to know about history between white folks and black folks should read Mildred D Taylor too understand what her family went through.
