Washer would go into DC mode (out of balance) even when empty. Large loads were impossible, smaller loads were a roll of the dice on finishing. You could watch the tub and see that there was nothing holding it stable. I read a few reviews that sounded similar saying this fixed it. $60 seemed worth the risk compared to replacing the washer or the cost of a service call. Worked perfectly, could not ask for a better solution.A couple notes to the DIYers out there:1: When you lift the top of the machine for access, it has to be held. I recommend having a second set of hands to hold the top as dropping it looks like it would be a disaster for the washing machine.2: Use a set of vice grips if you have them to grab the top of each rod. You can remove them by hand, but it is greasy and dirty. Grips will give you a better bite without actually touching the rods.

I bought my wa456drhdwr/aa02 washer for $75 because the seller said it was leaving clothes wet and would not spin out - I read about the shaking tub/DC code problem and took a chance on it. Sure enough that was the problem. I tried diy fixes like wrapping suspension springs in rubber hose, which did work for about 6 weeks then the tub started shaking again - it was throwing DC codes even when tub was empty!I'm from Canada and it's difficult to find a good deal on these rods, so I was pleased to find a 4-pack for under $80 USD! With the exchange rate, shipping, and import fees they came to $145 CAN.Shipping was a week QUICKER than what Amazon stated!The job is super easy and should not take any longer than 15 mins for someone comfortable with basic hand tools (putty knife and a phillips screwdriver). I have watched some videos of people flipping the top of the washer backwards and resting it on something to get it out of the way. I simply left it on the washer and moved it a few inches at a time to access the rods one at a time.THESE RODS FIXED THE DC ERROR - I have done approx 5 loads since the install, with a large load a towels last night - no shaking! We are now out about $225 CAN for a great washer that would cost around $1000 here in Nova Scotia with taxes.

My washer had been shaking for a while now. I looked up videos online where if you have an unbalance washer the cause of it would be the rods. I went to the samsung website and looked up the serial number for the rods i needed for my washer. Big time money saver! The rods were compatible and my washer is like new! If you are struggling with your washer do as I did, dont pay so much money for someone else to fix it. The install was done in 5 min! Just make sure you look up the serial number for a perfect match! They worked perfect for my Samsung washer. Local appliance store wanted 90 dollars a piece for these and told me that's the only ones you can get for my application. Well he was wrong and I didn't have to throw my washer out. They're also pretty heavy duty being that my wife likes to do huge loads of laundry and I haven't heard a wabble yet out of my washer.

I had previously added rubber hose and wire ties to stop the DC errors, which worked for a while. When the washer started getting the errors again I ordered these rods. To my surprise, I think the original fix only failed because I didn't have the wire ties tight enough to keep the hose from slipping down, but I replaced them without trying to use that again. So far these new rods have performed correctly. It has been a couple of months so far.

I kept looking to ones that people would say fit my model. These worked perfectly. Took about 30 minutes or so to install mainly because on one corner the mfg do quite a deal installing the orginal which is wrapped around some cord so getting it out took some finessing. But as soon I installed, fixed my washer and now no more balance issues.

These suspension rods are excellent and machine spins like new.A word of warning do not buy DC97-16350C if you model washer shows DC97-16350E, Amazon may suggest this. The DC97-16350C are thinner rods and lighter springs but they do fit (which can be deceiving). The DC97-16350C are substantially cheaper but you are absolutely getting what you pay for in this case. I replaced my old arms in May with DC97-16350C and should have paid more and used the DC97-16350E. Six months later the arms were bent and springs blasted. Fortunately I knew the issue, swallowed my pride, and bought the more expensive (and proper) arms. Learn young DIY grasshoppers from my wizen yet unwise mistake.
