I absolutely love these mushroom feeders. The birds love them also. Easy for the woodpeckers to get their beaks in the holes to get the bird balls that I put in them. Easy for the birds to hang onto also. Love them Just with they came in BLUE, YELLOW and ORANGE. If they did, I'd buy them all.

Chickadees and nuthatches clearly prefer this cute little feeder over the other five styles of feeders that were already available to them in my yard. I have tried pretty much every type of bird feeder on the market, and this is my favorite for sunflower seeds and shelled peanuts. It is sturdy and well-made; the design makes it very simple to take apart to fill or wash. The inevitable difficulty with this type of feeder is that the holes have to be big enough for the birds to get the seeds out which also means that as you are filling it, some seeds fall out. I fill it over a big bowl to capture the seeds that escape. Once it's filled, there isn't excessive loss of seeds. It has a nice rain cover lid, but I have hung it under a large clear rain cover for added protection against Seattle rain and wind. I didn't really need another bird feeder, but I'm glad I bought this one.

This is a fun product. It's adorable to look at as I glance out the window to see the birds. I went through a few rounds of different items to put inside because the holes are smaller than I though. I settled on sunflower seeds which have been a big hit. They won't fall out of the holes like seeds, but will easily slide out when the birds want them. Very entertaining and a unique bird feeder. I haven't seen anyone else in the neighborhood that has one like it.

I used several different seeds and seed mixes in this feeder. The primary seed used was a mix to attract chickadees, nuthatches and woodpeckers. It contained a mixture of different sized sunflower seeds (shelled, black and stripped) and small nuts and nut pieces. I even chopped up suet and placed it in with the other seed at times. While all of these birds and others regularly visited this feeder, squirrels were a problem. Initially the squirrels would hang upside down and fish out what they could from the feeder. Occasionally they would manage to twist the top off the bottom of the feeder. As squirrels started to dismantle the feeder more often, I ended up drilling a hole in the top and inserting a pin to prevent the bottom from twisting off of the top while the pin was in place. This helped keep the squirrels from taking it apart but eventually they just chewed through the wire mesh. I don't expect it to be too much longer before the squirrel damage prevents it from holding seed. While I loved this feeder because it attracted a wide range of birds with the seed mix I used and it was attractive, it needs to be improved. On the top of my improvement list is thicker\stronger mesh to prevent squirrels from being able to chew through it and a locking mechanism to prevent squirrels from taking it apart. For the price I paid ($17.99), I expected it to be more durable and more squirrel-proof. As cute and functional as it is, it's just not durable enough to endure the wrath of squirrels.

Wow! What a cute little thing! This is a great bird feeder, well constructed and really cute looking. It came well packaged, was easy to assemble and now it is hanging in front of my kitchen window, ideal to watch the bird party. :) And, they are happy indeed about their new feeding station! It is hanging high enough and away from trees so no squirrel can get to it unless they learn to fly. ;-) I think it makes a great gift as well! This product definitely deserves a 5 star. None of my birds (chicadees/gold finch /nuthatch/all clinging birds) would go onto the feeder. I have 2 satellite feeders for clinging birds only as sparrows had overtaken my feeders so none of the other birds could get near them.

I bought the red mushroom months ago and when I saw this green model I can’t resist to buy it to have both and now I have my backyard like a Mario Bros world and my daughter and son loves them because I put a touch of videogame world to my garden furnitures. There is no too much space for more than 4 birds feeding at the same time, but these little friends can come and go until they feel full or satisfied. Wild birds in my neighborhood like peanuts so I have to buy it from an animal store and a fleet market to save some money, peanuts are expensive in a grocery store. Please do not use salty variation, but rather raw peanuts within the shell or just the hearts, I prefer peanuts instead of sunflower seed because birds have to work harder to get the food out of the feeder and that will give me much more time to watch them, cool right!

This nut feeder is a terrible design, and is extremely flimsy and the bottom fell to the ground the first day I used it. It was totally mangled so I pressed it back into shape as best I could and took a long time trying to fit the mushroom lid again. The lid is truly awful because it is very hard to try and turn it into place and is obviously not secured as the bottom thin wire mess body has fallen to the ground, no matter what I do, three times now. It doesn’t help that the bottom is rounded so the feeder will not stand up on anything while you try and fit the lid, just an all round dreadful design, it may be pretty but it not fit for purpose!

Habe die Futterstation meinen Großeltern zu Weihnachten geschenkt, da diese sehr gerne Vögel beobachten. Sie waren davon begeistert. Diese Futterstation wird regelmäßig von zahlreichen kleineren und mittelgroßen Vögeln angeflogen und ist leicht zu Befüllen. Es muss lediglich darauf geachtet werden, dass die Station nur mit größeren Körnern befüllt werden kann, da die Maschen des Netzes relativ groß sind und kleinere Körner herausfallen.

Funciona de maravilla, la forma es original y protege bastante los frutos secos de la lluvia, lo aconsejo, ademas los pajaros acuden muy pronto y en gran numero, lo puse cerca de una ventana y es un espectaculo! herrerillos, carboneros... mitos. y otros pajarillos se dan un festín, acordaos de meter solo frutos secos sin tostar ni sal!!!

This mesh bird feeder was absolutely adorable once it arrived and seen in person. It holds well black oil sunflower seeds and safflower seeds but cannot hold smaller seeds. Also, I fill it with peanuts hearts but they have to be unshelled, unsalted, unsmoked, and unseasoned to avoid poisoning the birds. Another option is to fill it with suet pellets for birds. The new feeder is a big attraction to our winter birds. I like the design ... it adds interest to the bird feeder collection. I have many birds that love to pull the seeds out while hanging upside down but I added sticks that just weave through the open spaces for those birds that need to perch. Really adorable and fun to watch!!! I love the box/package design of the product it makes it perfect and practical for a gift. This one is a winner!
