Q: Is this kit sold in pairs or just one each?

Pairs. Well made. You can use short boards or long boards. prefer 2x8 4-5 foot for a shed. 2x8 8-10 foot for loading a pickup.

Q: What is the procedure if the 2x12 end doesn't fit at the place it goes in the ramp? . My 2x12 is just a touch too thick.

I used my belt sander just to give it a kiss so it fit like a glove. Good luck.

Q: Has anyone built this ramp for a jeep grand cherokee? if yes, what length of lumber did you use for it so that it is not too steep?

This product works good for loading my ranger or rzr in my pickup. The load limit for these ramps are 1500 lbs I don't exceed that weight limit. The last time I checked your Jeep exceeds 5,000 lbs. I would not recommend using ATV, UTV ramps to load a jeep.
