First I didn’t know how it can be adjustable than when received very easy to adjust accordingly ding to my 5 year daughters feet, she says it is comfy. I found tightening straps little bit difficult for 5 years old but fir parents isn’t that problem. Overall it’s a good buy and not expensive at all.

They work. Just notice that their blade is of a slightly rounded shape while regular figure skates have a flat shape which seems easier for learning how to skate. Our coach recommended to get a pair of regular figure skates.

I love how easy it is for my daughter to put on and take off these skates by herself. I also like how she will be able to use these for a few years since they are adjustable. The only bad thing is they are easy to get filled with snow in the front. Where laces would normally keep the snow out these tend to fill up with nothing really there to stop the snow from getting in.

So we bought these for our three kids to save some money and not have to buy new skates every year. We were fully aware that they're not Olympic quality skates but figured they were fine for learning. We still think they are and will use them at park ice rinks, however, we signed the kids up for lessons at an indoor skating rink and they refused to let our kids on the ice with them. I think this is a ploy to bump up their skate rental profits, but they claim that since they have more of a hockey shaped curved blade (paired with the figure skating toe pique) that the kids couldn't possibly learn or balance on them. Yes, I'm rolling my eyes. There may be some truth to that, I don't know, but it seems over blown. But I write this as a warning that if you are planning to use these for lessons, you may find the instructors won't let you.

The wrong size was sent, but we were able to return them and order another brand.

These seem to be designed for kids with extremely wide feet. The first couple of times my wife put them on my almost 6-year old, she couldn't tighten them enough. There are only two straps that tighten and the straps were so long that they were hitting the inside of the shoe and were not able to tighten anymore. However, after cutting about two inches off of both straps, they fit fine now and still have a lot of room for growing.

no complaints from my 7yr old girl, she is a great skater so she would know if they sucked
