Disney DCM-9 Mickey Mini Waffle Maker, Black

Great item for a great price, amazing for making waffles, came well packed and seems long lasting.

This is a great little waffle iron. It makes perfect shapes waffles that taste great and don’t stick to the iron. The iron itself is small and lightweight. The waffles are a decent size (two are enough to fill me up) and they cook perfectly every time. I do wish it could make two at a time but it’s not really a huge deal. Another minor issue is with the lid. It’s very lightweight so be careful when it’s open. The lid can easy fall down and burn your hand. It hasn’t happened to me yet but I can see if you are in a rush and aren’t careful.When I fill the iron with batter and close the lid, the light goes on and it cooks. When smoke starts to come out and the light goes off I know the waffle is cooked. I usually leave it in a few extra seconds as I like mine a little more well done. Easy peasy. My nephews are going to love these!

My family loves Disney, we have spent more money on Disney than likely anything else in our lives (between merch and going to the parks, I even met my husband at Disneyland) My kids love waffles and loved getting the Mickey shaped waffles at the parks. This waffle maker is perfect for us. We bought it for our 12 year old for Christmas and it’s been a huge hit in our home. It only makes one waffle at a time, so for 3 school age kiddos it does take a few minutes to make enough for everyone but the waffles cook up pretty fast so in actuality it’s really not a long wait at all. On the plus side, if you just need to make one waffle quickly (we have a 3 year old) I can have just one waffle cooked and served in under 5 mins (no exaggeration) and you can have the maker cleaned up and put away in just a few moments. Makes mornings a bit easier. It is very easy to clean and our 12 and 11 year olds can use this, and clean it up/put it away completely on their own. Make note though, there is no audible beep or indicator your waffle is finished. My kids like a crispy outside and soft inside so I leave my waffles in the maker for about 2- 2.5 mins. A soft waffle can be done In about a 90 seconds or so. It’s not a big lunky piece of kitchen equipment so it’ll fit perfect in a cupboard and take up hardly any room. Our 17 year old is heading off to university this fall and I plan on picking her up one for her dorm once these are back in stock. Price was nice, paid under $15. We will get our use out of this for sure.

It is so dang cute and perfect! I truly love this little waffle maker. I chose this one over the full faces Mickey because I like the waffle divots to capture the syrup. It is easy to use. Non-stick. Easy to clean. I took off a star for the little red heat button not really working to tell if it’s done. I had already read that in reviews but I think it’s important to note again for those who want to rely on the light indicator as a timer. It’s just there to say “I’m heated up enough.” I used the timer on my phone and found that about 2 mins gives a great waffle. My reason for a 4 instead of 5 stars. The bottom does get crispier than the top. I found filling it all the way to the lip of the bottom waffle helps really gives a nice full waffle without spilling over. They are the perfect size. They are not huge waffles, but two was just enough for me with a side of fruit. It is a great size for children. An even better size for a big scoop of ice cream to sit on top :). Because of its small size, the iron is easy to store and it doesn’t feel cumbersome taking it in and out of the cabinet (unlike my larger waffle iron that has the handle to flip and turn to cook). Great product!

We recently came home from a trip to Disney World and I immediately went on the hunt for a Mickey waffle iron to bring some Disney Magic to our kitchen. I browsed a few products but they looked like pancake molds to me, so I went with this one because I wanted actual waffles. We just used it for the first time today and here are my thoughts.Pros: Small and compact, works well, makes a nice fluffy and pretty thick Belgian style waffle. Obviously the kids get a kick out of it.Cons: No timer or way of letting you know when it’s done preheating or when a waffle is done. I used the timer on our oven, they were cooked perfectly in 4 minutes. Also it only makes one waffle at a time, so I may end up purchasing another one so we can make two at a time.All in all a nice little novelty item. I hope it will hold up for a while because the waffles are so cute!

My 2-year-old loves Mickey Mouse, so I bought this waffle maker to make him Mickey shaped waffles. I reviewed several other Mickey Mouse waffle makers and decided on this one due to the great price and the fact that it makes conventional waffles complete with squares for the toppings to collect (vs. the flatter and more pancake-like appearance of the pricier waffle makers). The waffle maker is really easy to use and has non-stick plates that are truly non-stick and do not require cooking spray or oil prior to use. Inside the box was an instruction manual that included 4 different waffle recipes...I am looking forward to making the chocolate waffles! Some reviewers have complained about the small size of the waffles, which had me concerned- I don't want to be cooking waffles all morning just to get everyone fed. The size turned out to be be perfect! I served waffles with scrambled eggs on the side and my 2-year-old, my teen, and myself were satisfied with one waffle each. The waffles popped right out of the machine and there isn't any residue or crumbs left inside.Bottom line is I am very happy with my purchase. I have no reservations about recommending this product and would purchase it again without hesitation.
