Long & very thorough review..please read! *by N***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 4, 2019* I noticed a minor clock delay issue with the brewer and reached out to the company to make them aware of the issue to an otherwise perfect machine. Unfortunately, I had to return the machine. They said they are working to fix the issue and there aren't many left with the clock problem which is great. Great customer support. I've already purchased a new machine by a different brand but I will be more than happy to buy another Vinci brewer in the future because as I mentioned it makes a great cup of coffee. Great company that really cares about resolving issues. I will purchase another machine in the future to use for work. Thank you Vinci for caring about customer feedback & satisfaction. If you love pour over coffee then you'll love this machine. If you purchase this machine you can rest assured that should any issues arise, the company will remedy the issue with an appropriate solution if you reach out & let them know just as I did!Let me start by saying that this machine is great. It makes absolutely amazing coffee. Very user friendly. I've had many coffee makers & this one is the best. I love the rotary sprayer that saturates all the grounds completely for a clean rich flavor. It has a "bloom" function which is one of the main reasons I chose it. The bloom feature primes the grounds by saturating them first before the brewing starts. This step releases coffee's natural gasses removing it's bitterness for a clean robust brew. Bolder brews that used to give me bad heartburn no longer do. I drink a full pot daily so this is important to me. Deliciously smooth coffee at home anytime I want.If you add extra flavorings to your grounds like I do with cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg then you're gonna love the way this coffee brewer elevates those flavors without feeling heavy or overpowering the flavor of the coffee itself.My only gripe is the glass coffee carafe itself. It's very thin glass with a flip open lid that opens easily if you don't secure it with your finger when pouring. I strongly suggest when that when filling the water reservoir you pour holding the pot vertically with the spout pointing towards the back of the machine. This will ensure an accurate pour without any spillage. If you pour sideways the water will leak from the side of the carafe & make a mess so just use caution when pouring. Things to know:-The coffee maker does NOT bpeep when cycle is complete so it won't scare pets or startle you in the morning which I very much appreciate!Yes there is a programmable timer that I use daily. Just set the time & then press bloom button & timer on. You don't have to use the bloom button but you can if you choose to. The bloom button is the flower button next to the brew button.- The brewer uses a #4 cone paper filter or the reusable one that's included.-The brewer will stay on (keep warm for 90 minutes so it won't scorch your coffee. The brew/bloom buttons illuminate in blue when not in use & red when the coffee maker is in use.-As I mentioned the carafe is made of thin glass & very fragile if not careful so use cautious when handling & washing (which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5).-All removable parts are dishwasher safe. The carafe is top rack only.-There is a clean reminder that will remind you to descale the brewer every 100 brews using a descaling liquid.-It brews a full 12-cup in about 8-10 minutes which is considerably faster than other coffee makers I've owned.-It releases steam at the end of the cycle like most coffee makers so when don't leave it under your kitchen cupboards while it's brewing to make sure not to damage them.Overall I love this machine. I can have delicious pour over coffee at home at the touch of a button. I highly recommend it to everyone. Once you've tried it you'll never go back to a traditional coffee maker again. This Vinci brewer really does make the PERFECT cup of coffee. I included a photo of it in use yesterday to show what it looks like. Did I mention I love my Vinci pour over brewer?!!👍👍 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not so sure about this pour over *by S***H on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 17, 2020* In the search for the perfect coffee maker I came across this Vinci auto pour over machine and bought it. After using for a week I decided to send it back and put the old machine (Cuisinart DCC-3000 ) back in service while I continue to hunt for a replacement for that ten year old reliable unit.A couple of things with the Vinci: First, the coffee didn't taste as strong as with the Cuisinart, even using an extra scoop of coffee. Maybe that is a funcion of a flat basket vs a tapered basket - i don't know. And that is also with the "Bloom" feature on the Vinci. And speaking of that, it reminds me of a "Bass" button on a cheap boom box - if the sound is better with the bass button pushed, why even have it? Just make the sound always better. Same thing here - is anyone NOT going to push the Bloom button? Maybe to save 20 seconds?! It seems kind of unnecessary to have to push a button to get a better cup of coffee.Then, in thinking about the "pour over" feature with the spinning head a little bit more, that too seems unnecessary as the same wetting of all of the coffee grounds can be achieved with a good shower head design. The reason that a barista does the circular motion on a pour over is that he/she is pouring a solid stream of water so the motion is necessary to wet the grounds. A shower head can do the same thing. So, between the bloom button and the rotating pour over, I think it is kind of gimmicky. But what about the coffee? I think the first cup tasted pretty good but I tend to stretch out my coffee drinking over a couple hours in the morning (I work from home) and the later cups didn't taste as good. Maybe the burner and the glass carafe were burning the coffee, I don't know. And then it would shut off and get cold. The old Cuisinart is a very unique design in that there is no carafe, the coffee is held in a 'tank' and dispensed with a lever. I think that as a result of that method of holding the coffee in a sealed tank maybe not as much burner heat (within the tank) is needed to keep it nice and hot as with a burner under a glass carafe out in the open. Just my theory. So in the end this one wasn't for me, but you might have a different experience. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Has Potential *by T***. on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 5, 2021* The spinning water dispenser really works and evenly distributed water over the coffee ground better than any coffee maker I've had. Really cool and a great idea. I'd peek in there and see it spinning around distributing the water perfectly. I really believe that makes a difference because some coffee makers don't soak all of the coffee grounds. An expensive Cuisinart I know of has a big shower dispenser that you would think would give complete water distribution but 80 percent of the water comes out of the first half of the "shower" head so half the grounds stay partially dry.Now Vinci just needs to get the hot water temperature right. The one I had didn't get the water hot enough for the right coffee taste/extraction. It was always luke warm, I'd have to use more coffee grounds, and I'd have to microwave it. I even tested the hot water coming out of the spinner with a laser gun and it was about 20-25 degrees below the ideal temperature.When they fix that they also need to improve their glass carafe which is paper thin and very delicate on the one I had.
