Very useful book. There are a lot of exercises to chose from to practice skills. I use this book often. I teach 8th grade writing.

This gave me a great guide to teach my homeschooling son.

The book is good in teaching the basic skills of writing a simple paragraph, but it doesn't really explain in detail everything.

I like this book. It teaches students many practical skills for writing.

It doesn't get to the specific components of writing an essay i.e., consideration given to the intended audience, topic sentence construction, importance of transition words ect.
